This Sunday we start our 2.5 million step challenge. A lot of the band are getting involved in this, so any donations or shares are so appreciated! Every penny counts!!
We are walking the same amount of steps it would take to get to Berlin, where the bass was made.

Little reminder the band (and friends) are doing a step challenge!

The number of miles to Berlin means we need to walk 2,500,000 steps between Sunday the 28th of June and Sunday 12th of July!

Well the first place trophy was safely returned to Fife from Hexham on Saturday along with Calum our Bb Bass player after getting a parking ticket 🎟️💰 but he said it was most definitely worth the fine 🤣

🏆We must firstly congratulate Cockerton Prize Silver Band and Jedforest Instrumental Band on podium placings. Clans vs Counties contest was a great hit amongst our friends.

😁A few massive thank yous to Jim Bone and Eoin Tonner for all their hard work and efforts over the last few weeks.
Eoin's choice of music which took us once again into The Melody Shop for our 20 minute program went down well with John Doyle in the box.
Thanks to Hexham Community Centre for allowing the use of a hall for us to gather and rehearse before we took to the stage.

👏🏼🙌🏼Thank you also goes to our guests Stuart Rynn on tuned percussion, Les Palmer on front row, Giles Harris was guesting on the back row with Stephen Duncan back to assist on all things percussion.

😎Summer season kicks off next weekend with Cowdenbeath Children's Gala and then Kelty Gala at the end of the month. 🏳️‍🌈

This starts the day after kelty gala. On the day of the gala we will also be selling raffle tickets and playing a little concert in our carpark after the parade.

5 days to go! 🤩 We are very excited to be welcoming 10 bands to the contest on Saturday.

Cockerton Prize Silver Band and Kelty & Blairadam, the parent band of Kingdom Brass played in the original form of this contest over 120 years ago.
