The band would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to our Race Night last Friday! We had a great turnout, had a fun time with all the activities on the night and everyone helped raise over £1600 towards our trip to the Nationals this autumn!! A special thank you has to go to our fundraising guru Anne for all of her efforts in organising the event!

Next up for JB is our annual concert with Paisley Salvation Army, Sunday 31st May at Paisley Salvation Army Hall, Mill Street - the event can be found here! Delighted to get along to Canal St in Johnstone last night to catch up with Johnstone Brass Band and hear of their recent success at the Scottish Championhips where they were crowned champions in the 2nd Section. A huge congatulations to them on this accomplishment.

Thanks to Raymond, who won the Conductor's trophy, and Kevin (both pictured) for inviting me along and taking the time for a chat and all the very best of luck to the band as they now head to York for the British Championships in September.

Calling trombone, euphonium, cornet players and percussionists!

We need you! Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to represent Scotland at the Nationals in York? It's an exciting time for the band and we are looking to complete our lineup ahead of the 2nd Section Finals in September, and as we build towards our return to the 1st Section.

We are a friendly and ambitious band led by our vastly experienced and inspirational MD Raymond Tennant. We rehearse in our own bandhall in Johnstone near Paisley, Monday and Wednesday nights, just 15 mins via train from Glasgow Central. We look forward to hearing from you, and all enquires will be kept confidential. Thanks!
