Ironmen Severn Gilders Morris

Ironmen Severn Gilders Morris We are two separate but very closely associated teams of Morris Dancers based in the historic town of Ironbridge in Shropshire.

The Ironmen are a men's team who dance in the Welsh Border tradition, while The Severn Gilders are a women's team who dance North-West morris. Although we dance separately, we almost always appear together (that way we get a rest between dances!), and many of the dancers from one team appear as musicians while the other is dancing. Originally formed in 1976, we dance at local events as well as festivals all over the country

We're really looking forward to welcoming back Stafford Morris Dancers and Ironmen Severn Gilders Morris to The Horns Inn, Gnosall, on Monday 6th July from 7.30pm.

They gave us a fantastic evening last year, and we're hoping for another great turnout from our local community. These dedicated dancers do a wonderful job of keeping this great tradition alive, and they deserve all the support we can give them.

So come along, grab a drink, enjoy the atmosphere, and support the dancers. It's always a brilliant evening and a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours.

See you there!

More Morris dancers than you can shake a stick at…

This Saturday is Midsummer Fayre day in Wellington, and one of this year’s treats is a whole ‘day of dance’ in Market Square as the Ironmen Severn Gilders Morris invite Shrewsbury Morris, Wulfruna Morris, Bedcote Morris and Shropshire Sharpshins Rapper to help them mark their 50th anniversary. It’s going to be a colourful, music-filled day not to be missed. Never brought your friends into Wellington before? Make this the day!
