Another good night at Ipswich Bonsai Society with Will Baddeley Critiquing members trees . Members had brought along a good selection for Will to work on and point out the way ahead with the tree. We welcomed 2 new members.

Tomorrow night 10th Feb 23 we have Will Baddeley coming to the club 7oclock start. He will be doing a critique on members trees to point the way ahead having a group discussion so I am sure we will all be learning something from the evening.

1st meeting of the year well supported lots of good work going on. Soil and new club clothing being picked up. Members sold pots on ready for the repotting season. Nice selection of trees in tree of the month competition well done Trevor for winning with his lovely English Elm . lets hope this is the start of another successful year for our Bonsai Society.

This Friday 13th January 23 we have our first meeting of the year , Kesgrave Community Centre from 7.30. Everyone welcome. Trying something new this year while people are thinking about repotting, a POT SWAP hopefully finding the pot you have been looking for. We will also be working on our own trees. For those who ordered soil or clothing it will be available this week. See you Friday

Fun night at Ipswich tonight following the AGM tree of the year chosen from trees that had been placed during the year in tree of the month won by Adam’s maple group and the bonsai tree decorated as a Christmas tree won by Matt. Plenty of food , secret Santa ending with a quiz. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you all from Ipswich Bonsai Society.

Another good turn out at the club tonight . We might have to move to a bigger room soon, Nice trees in the tree of the month. We welcomed some new people to the club. Great night.
