Operated by the team at Brighten The Corners, the venue acts as a training ground for music industry skills and new artists, available to hire at an affordable rate.

Big shout out to Steven who took part in the last Tune Up group, putting on a gig as part of Smokehouse 10 and getting involved in everything from lights, stage management, and selling tickets on the door 👏

This week at The Smokehouse

FRIDAY is a futuristic Punk-rocker with a bitter-sweet soul and a dark, bold mix-match of genres. His Alternative Bedroom Rock sees him take from his favourite artists in Post-punk, Dream Pop and in Hip Hop to create an ever-evolving sound. Moon is gearing up to release his halloween gothic inspired single ‘Hold Tight’ on October 23rd, with a string of dynamic releases to follow in 2027. Support comes from !

SATURDAY return to The Smokehouse fresh off releasing their debut album 'Life In Arcade Lights', ready to deliver a show packed with energy, hooks, and heart. Performing their new album in full, plus some old favourites, the band will be joined by special guests, and , making this a full‑tilt night of new music, loud rooms, and local talent firing on all cylinders.

net_ & SUBJECT presents ROOM 2 after their sellout event in 2025. Room 2 is an intimate and immersive journey into the deeper side of nighttime sounds and vibration. With sounds from BUCYS, Kevin Searle, Matski, Yebsie and Lochness.

🔥 Smokehouse 10 Birthday Party was a blast! 🔥 Thanks to everyone who came down for a tinny/pizza/boogie/catch up. It was so good to see faces who’ve been part of the SH in one way or another over the last 10 years and to get together and celebrate with you! 🫶

Thanks to all the DJs who brought the parday we had so much fun! Thanks to the staff & vols and to Mylo's Pizza. Shout out to Faith who put together the Smokehouse exhibition and zine (they all got picked up so we’ll be printing more for sure!), as well as all the photographers. Transforming the car park was a lot of fun, should we do more of that? 👀

And for the birthday month itself, a huge thanks to all the promoters, bands and volunteers who took part in Smokehouse 10 in September and to University of Suffolk for their support.

Our official bday month might be over, but it doesn’t mean that’s the end of celebrations. Our Smokehouse merch will still be available to purchase in the Smokehouse bar until it’s gone!
