Want to learn about putting on gigs and festivals through hands-on experience at live events? 🙌 Our live music events course Tune Up for ages 16-25 starts up again next month!

🎸 Over ten weekly sessions we cover production, programming, marketing, and event management, with industry guests from the music sector and hands on experience out our live events.

This free course starts again on Thursday 5th February and continues weekly 5.30-8pm for 10 weeks, with sessions taking place between Suffolk New College and Brighten The Corners venues.

Thanks to Suffolk New College for funding our next Tune Up term, and thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund for the event support.

BTC 2025 🎉 THANK YOU

The dust is just about settling and we’re basking in the glow of another amazing festival! We want to say such a massive thank you to everyone who attended and was involved in Brighten The Corners Festival 2025. This year was our biggest festival yet, and to be able to see the town transform into a festival village is such an incredible feeling. The weather was kind to us this year (we sure were sweaty, and not forgetting that late night storm!) and it really felt like we kicked off the summer with a bang!

Thanks so much to you for bringing the energy and showing artists a great time, we know our audiences have a lot of love to give here in Ipswich and it's so special to share it, it's palpable everywhere you turn. There were so many highlights across the weekend and we love hearing about people having totally different journeys across the festival.

Thank you to all the artists who came to play, mostly for the first time ever in Ipswich. We heard great feedback about your time here and how you felt well taken care of by our friendly crew and volunteers. Thank you for bringing it on stage!

To be able to present over 70 acts, DJs, panellists and musicians across 7 venues is no mean feat and we want to thank our core team for their exceptional work, and a huge thanks to everyone who joined us as a member of the crew, a volunteer, or part of Tune Up, to all be doing this together for the love of music is how we make this happen.

There was so much positivity everywhere. It really does feel like the festival instills a feeling of pride in our town which is too often characterised negatively. It’s time to change perceptions of the town and we are proud to be a part of the incredible creative scene in Ipswich working hard towards this goal.

We’re slowly recovering and horizontal when we can be this week. Seeing all your content is warming our souls, keep it coming!
