Our aim is to bring you class acts, established and “up and coming”, who have rarely (if ever) been seen in Ipswich. We aim to bring a touch of class, something a little different, acts old and new rarely if ever seen in Ipswich before.

Getting really excited now for our first gig at The Halberd. Claude Bourbon is amazing so we couldn't get off to a better start, I hope to see lots of you good folks later. Just a word about wheelchair access - the route to the Stables Bar is level (ish), but the doors are narrow, so if in doubt ring the pub on 01473 809077 and they will open the gates to access the venue directly through the beer garden. See you soon!

Seen a couple of posts on here purporting to have tickets for sale. Might be genuine, you might know them. Just bear in mind, it's printed tickets for this event, all sold over the bar or posted out, none online. Don't get caught 🙂

It's tonight! Our 2025 Christmas Special with The Dirt Road Band. Admission is by ticket only and the event is SOLD OUT. Doors open at 7.30pm. Please note there will be limited seating and no cooked food available tonight - everyone will be too busy dancing!

This Saturday! Jon Amor Trio at The Chequers, Kettleburgh, Suffolk. 8pm start and admission is free. It doesn't get better than this 🙂

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Sadly, due to health issues, Sparko’s Going Back Home have had to cancel all gigs for the remainder of 2025. All being well, we hope to see them in 2026.

Meanwhile, we have secured a fine replacement for the gig on 10th December in the form of the Dirt Road Band: Steve Walwyn (Dr Feelgood) on guitar, Horace Panter (Specials) on bass and Ted Duggan (Badfinger) on drums.

All Sparko tickets will remain valid for this event and we are sure you will enjoy the replacement band. In the unlikely event that this doesn’t appeal to you, then of course you can return your tickets by 30th November for a full refund. Call in at The Duke or email [email protected].

We hope to see you for Hokie Joint on the 19th November and the Dirt Road Band on 10th December.
