Back with the first word of the week for 2022!! This time created as a freemotion embroidery piece in fabric and thread!! 🧵🪡

A few moons ago, sewing used to be my thing. I had a teeny, tiny, micro business, it all started just after I had my first daughter, where I used to make a few bits on my trusty machine and sold to family and friends and at local craft fairs - think cushions, bunting - you know the sort of thing 🤩
Life got busier and I wasn’t really sure how to grow a business or that I liked what I was making so it all kind of fizzled out 😕
So, fast forward a few years and I’ve never really stopped creating - I’m basically a jack of all crafts and master of none, but without it it feels like something is missing⚡️
Freemotion embroidery is something that I’ve tinkered with in the past and have always adored, but never believed I was very good at it. But nobody ever got better at anything by just thinking about it 🤔
So part of my plan this year is to keep trying, to keep practising and to TRUST that I can get better 🤓
I’d love this to be a part of what I do and to be able to create work in this way. So watch this space 👀
