🚨 TEACHERS 🚨

Our school workshop diary is now open for 2026–27 – get booked in!

Led by Gecko’s experienced devising performers, our practical workshops explore the movement, physical theatre and creative processes we use when making a show. Choose from half-day, full-day, two-day or bespoke options, tailored to the needs of your students.

We’re also thrilled to announce that, as part of Gecko’s commitment to local placemaking, we’re now offering a 10% discount to all secondary state schools based in Suffolk who book a workshop with us.

“We felt safe to explore in the atmosphere you had created. Everyone loved getting stuck in to the physicality of the work, and it has reminded many that they can challenge their bodies to move in different ways.” - Teacher

🚨 GECKO SPECIAL ONE-OFF MASTERCLASS 🚨

As we approach our 25th anniversary next year, we’re opening the doors to our creative process with a very special one-off masterclass in London!

Led by our Artistic Director Amit Lahav and Associate Director Chris Evans, this intensive five-day masterclass offers a rare opportunity to step inside a Gecko rehearsal room and explore the methods, ideas and creative processes behind our work.

We will be working with just 16 artists to train, experiment, play and create together – exploring how personal stories, movement, metaphor, imagery and theatrical language can become the starting point for performance.

The masterclass will also be filmed to create a new online resource capturing Gecko’s practice at this important moment in our history. By taking part, you’ll not only deepen your own practice, but become part of the portfolio of work we take into our next chapter.

This masterclass is for experienced performers and theatre makers with a minimum of three years’ professional experience who are interested in physical, ensemble-led approaches to creating performance. Over five days, you’ll work closely with Amit, Chris and the other participants, experiencing the ways Gecko creates work from inside the rehearsal room.

📅 Monday 23rd - Friday 27th November 2026
⏰ Application Deadline is Monday 12th October (9am)
💸 £620 (incl. VAT) - a finance plan is available to spread the cost

Looking back on our performances of From Here On as part of King Arthur Reimagined: Voicing the Land 😍

We had the most incredible time revisiting this beautiful piece in a different context, especially as we welcomed back some of the original young cast members who performed in the original stagings of the production in Essex and London!

It's been a delight to see this production go from strength to strength, and we're excited to see where it can be taken next!

From Here On was originally created in 2024 as a co-production by and Gecko Theatre, in partnership with Safe Passage International. The performances at Britten Pears Arts were produced by Gecko as part of the company’s Creative Engagement programme in Suffolk.

Ķīn is on sale now!

We are delighted that after three years, Ķīn will be returning to the stage for a limited run at Sadler's Wells East as part of the brilliant MimeLondon , and you can get your tickets now!

Ķīn is our groundbreaking production that captures the humanity of migration and how we hold, reinvent or erase our identities to survive in a foreign land.

‘We exist both where we’ve come from and where we’re going.’

Ķīn is a story of families fleeing, arriving and beginning again, told through our trademark style with hypnotising beauty, a global soundtrack and raw emotion.

Drawing on the lived experiences of our Artistic Director Amit Lahav and international ensemble, Ķīn asks what we carry with us, what we leave behind and the cost of becoming someone new.

Our performances of The Wedding at Sadler's Wells East completely sold out, so get your tickets for Ķīn before they're gone!

We are delighted to announce that our acclaimed outdoor production, From Here On, will be returning in a special one-off performance as part of King Arthur Reimagined: Voicing the Land at Snape Maltings!

From Here On was originally created in 2024 as a co-production by and Gecko Theatre, in partnership with Safe Passage International. The performances at Britten Pears Arts are produced by Gecko as part of the company’s Creative Engagement programme in Suffolk.

The original performances of From Here On marked the 85th anniversary of the Kindertransport, when nearly 10,000 Jewish children were given safe passage to the UK from Nazi-occupied Europe. It is an artistic remembrance of that history, as well as an urgent call for empathy and action for displaced young people in the present.

“A pulsing, heart-wrenching, ultimately hopeful piece of physical theatre.” – ★★★★ The Stage

King Arthur Reimagined is a vibrant mythic celebration, a unique event uniting classical and folk, past and future, community and professional, with Purcell’s vibrant music at its heart, in a theatrical production featuring Norwich Baroque, conducted by Tim Brown. From Here On will be performed on the Hepworth lawn at 1.15pm and 6.15pm before you head into the concert hall to watch the performance of King Arthur.

📍 Hepworth Lawn, Snape Maltings, Snape, Suffolk IP17 1SP
📅 8 July 2026, 1.15pm & 6.15pm
🎟 £5-£10
