Ipswich Chamber Choir is thrilled to present one of the greatest masterpieces of the early Baroque: Monteverdi’s Vespers (1610).

Join us on Saturday 21 November 2026 at 7:30pm in the beautiful St Joseph’s College Chapel for an unforgettable evening of virtuosic choral and instrumental music.

We’re honoured to be joined by two internationally acclaimed period instrument groups: The English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble and The Geldart Ensemble.

Their expertise in historical performance brings Monteverdi’s dazzling colours, cornetts, sackbuts, and chamber organ to life exactly as the composer intended.

Our set featured music from our Kings and Queens programme: Purcell, Gombert, Glass, and Mozart, all beautifully conducted and accompanied by our Assistant Musical Director, Caroline Finlay.

Join us on the 6th June 2026 for opera choruses and arias, inspired by Kings and Queens!

4.00pm at St Andrew’s Church, Rushmere, IP5 1DH

Tickets £18, under 30 half price, 18 and under free, includes buffet

Soprano Tara Bungard will sing the famous Queen of the Night aria from Mozart’s Magic Flute and Donizetti’s Anna Bolena.

You will hear:
- Purcell - Dido's Lament and Final Chorus
- Mozart - Idomeneo - Placido e il mar and Priests' Chorus
- Verdi - Macbeth- Chorus of Scottish Refugee
- Mussorgsky - Boris Gudonov Coronation Scene
