The practice continues, the nerves build - and Ula Weber fine-tunes - it's time for our Summer 2026 Jukebox Concert in Inverness! This year, we have the pleasure of including the wonderful The Paint Shop 7 quartet from Skye. We're so looking forward to it, some great new songs over the hour and a half and plenty to keep the youngsters engaged too. Tickets will be online soon - but will also be available at the door, cash only. Please see flyer for details. 😄

We thought we would introduce you to our amazing Choir Leader Ula Weber. Ula is an inspirational conductor, teacher trainer and workshop leader, whose work has taken her around the UK and Internationally. She is an expert in developing choral and classroom singing. As Head of Programme for the National Choral Organisation and Sing for Pleasure, Ula organises conducting and singing courses across the UK and abroad

Ula is also Choral Programme Manager for The People’s Orchestra and Choir charity where she manages a network of 24 choirs across the UK and conducts the massed choirs and orchestra performances. She and her husband, accompanist Baz Chapman, moved to the Highlands and set up our choir nearly three years ago – we now have over 100 members so you can tell how successful it is and an important part of our local community. We are so lucky to have them both with us! 😍

Our amazing Choir Director, Ula Weber (second from left), had a wonderful concert last night in Glasgow with the Dolinki Polish Folk Group, hosted by Madrigirls. Great costumes, so colourful, maybe we should have these as our second uniform for our own performances?! 😄😍

We're looking forward to meeting some of the members of the Lairg Gaelic Choir at our rehearsal tomorrow evening - they'll receive a very warm Black Isle welcome from us all - hope you enjoy it everyone! 😍

Now that football is with us for quite a while, we thought it worth celebrating the power of song with this fantastic aria from Royal Ballet And Opera with tenor SeokJong Baek bringing back wonderful memories of Luciano Pavarotti and marking the start of the tournament. SeokJong is South Korean and what a voice he's got, hair-raising 😍😮

We're really enjoying learning Love Shine a Light this term for our concert on Saturday 4th July (details to come soon) - Katrina & The Waves won Eurovision with it in 1997 and it still stands as a great sing-along feel-good song - we love it! 😍

Well, what a May it's been! Thank you Gdansk for being so great, welcoming and the perfect place to be our 3rd TPSC tour and 2nd International Tour!! We have thoroughly enjoyed it, with lots of laughs, joyful singing and giving our choir and orchestra friends the chance to show off what we do in a brand-new part of the world.

Thank you to Choir Leader Chris Weber for leading our brilliant choirs, band and The People's Orchestra in every performance and for organising this fantastic tour!

As we return back to regular rehearsals again, we're now more excited to be getting closer to the big day in July, where we shall be performing our Jukebox concert LIVE at B:Music's Birmingham Symphony Hall (we'd love to see you there!)
