Absolutely Gutted to miss TruckNess today. I'm really sorry to disappoint and not be present today. After having a little time away from Mini Messy Hands to concentrate on further learning and my family etc, I planned on making an appearance today.

Unfortunately, my daughter was knocked down by a cyclist going at high speed, earlier this week, ending up in hospital with a head injury and what I thought was a broken ankle!

I cant explain the stress that caused this week. Doctors orders to just keep life chilled for the next coming weeks- hence me being MIA at TruckNess.

Again, I am so sorry to all who were looking forward to some Messy Play today! 🥺😞

I'm just grateful that it wasnt a car and that her injuries were not life threatening 🙏🏾 thank you Raigmore A and E team 😘

When I have confirmed what the next plans are for Mini Messy Hands I will let you all know.

Hi everyone,

I have not posted in a while and there is reason for it...

As you know I had been finishing off my last year for my degree with the Open Uni. It has been such a juggle between work, kids, family, messy play, other community projects I'm involved in as well as just life, but I made it 🥳
To top that off, I had a dodgy back and needed to take some time to recover!

I love love love setting up Messy Play sessions and just seeing children come alive in their play at the simplest of things, such as playdough and rice... however I am needing to concentrate on my next step which most likely involves more further education😬🥴 and this will mean I need to step back from Messy Play for the time being.

Hence, Saturday 10th June, will be the LAST Messy Play session I will be running until I can run regular sessions again. It breaks my heart to have to step back, but realistically I can't commit to running these sessions right now. It's not forever, it's just right now.❤

In the meantime, I will still be AVAILABLE for events, charitable events, Gala days, parties, birthdays and anything alike. I just wont be running any sessions. So give me a shout otherwise.

Thank you to each and every person that had ever supported Mini Messy Hands now or in the past. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting such lovely children and families.

🥺🥺Wheres the lovely weather gone!!🥺🥺

We had been enjoying lots of water play during the mini heatwave! They ( age 4 and 7) were both occupied for nearly 2 hours. They were negotiating, suggesting ideas to each other, asking questions and just genuinely making new discoveries!

Young children are really more intelligent than we realise, its mind blowing.

I'm going to have to apologise again for the silence...
I thought it might be a good way to introduce to myself and reason for the silence...

Hi, I'm Remi. I have worked with children for 13 years, mostly in Nursery and Education roles. I am a full time Uni student (7 weeks left 🥳😮) , Mother of two, work part time (emotionally heavy role) and have various other projects which are also important to me such as bereavement and diversity.

I LOVE providing Messy Play sessions in the community, because I know the endless positive impacts it has on children, but also provides a different way to bond with your child.
I also just enjoy this aspect of working with children as its supporting children in a different way than what I do during the week.

I thoroughly enjoy running this teeny 'business' and would be very grateful if you could continue to support it.

So, finally we are offering weekday sessions on a Thursday at the Cameron Youth Centre on Planefield Rd, 10am. Each week will have a different theme with varying textures and scents at each Messy Play station.

We're super excited🤩!

If Thursdays don't work for you, our monthly Saturday sessions will still run!

Motherhood is such a mix of intense love, self sacrifice, a bond like no other and a small loss of self, yet a new super strength we never knew we had!

Thank you for all those who came to World Book Day Messy Play! It was much tamer than our messiest Pancake Session 😅😅
Thank you Abi, for sending in these photos; I took 4 photos for the whole day!!

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday for our STEM themed session 👨🏾‍🔬👩🏾‍🏭👨‍🔧👩🏼‍🔬. Lota of exciting Fizzy Fun things to explore and play with!

Honestly by far the messiest Messy Play I've done 😜!

I do apologise to all the adults who will be finding chia seeds for days...🙈. They are a nightmare but the texture is too good, that to be done.
