Working up some more wee batches of keyrings and necklaces, with these beautifully smooth hardwood lozenges! So tactile, I love how they look all boxed up pretty, but had to have some loose to allow for touching at craft fairs! Delighted with my ebay find of this gorgeous old bobbin, just the very dab!

Anyone recognise any of these letters? 😜

The serendipitous joy of my two rainbow G brooches, genuine vintage 80s beauties from my childhood, forming a retro-fabulous logo design for Grottograph (forgiving the fact the Grottograph is in fact only one word 😝) has been a happy no-brainer since almost the very beginning of my wee business. That my name initial matches my business name is double delight!
However, when mulling over the need for some branding that offers more of an insight, it was Rockstar Hubby who suggested drawing out the whole name in my retro style - he is a genius! So I cast around some of my vintage memorabilia in the grotto and had a happy dive into childhood treasures online to cherry pick each lovely letter - can anyone recognise any of these? 😁

This full name logo is now being made up into a stamp to brand up my packaging, and will at some point make it's way to an updated website, when I get a moment! 😅

Ideas and designs that have been simmering for quite a while are now making their way into actuality!

With immense gratitude to rockstar husband, who has been taking salvaged offcuts of hardwood and turning them into the most gloriously smooth, strokable lozenges, for me to work some pyrography ogham and Pictish symbols on!

Here is me getting my hand in on a scrap block, testing out tips, and then some finished pieces ready for keyrings and necklaces. These 2 finished pendants say 'enough' snd 'forever'. Lots more in the pipeline, hoping to have plenty ready for my September fairs!

The 'ber months are fast approaching, time for snuggly jumpers, comfort food and cosy vibes! Delighted to be setting up stall at this autumn event - crafts, cake and charitable fundraising, sounds like a perfect Saturday outing! 😊

It has been a frustrating few months, with my rubbish wrist no use at all when it comes to controlling a pencil. I have avoided drawing for a long while, but have missed it so much and have so many projects I need to crack on with! So, in painfully short bursts I've been wrangling some pictish beasties doodles. Creeping closer to something I'm happy with, standby for a bunch of these cute creatures!

Looking forward to Aboyne games tomorrow, my first time there since 2016!

Usual pre event nerves, the packing up, setting up and display cause me some over thinking. And I am now worried that no one will see me as I am tucked away behind the main games arena.

I've been loving having my sewing machine set up, and had fun cobbling together this pair of tote bags! These started off life as Heinz aprons, forlorn on a xmas sale shelf many years ago! Now they are quirky, sturdy totes with a handy wee pocket and a decent gusset! Who doesn't love a good gusset!? 😅 As I don't have any confirmed upcoming events in the calendar, these are just hanging out in the grotto for now, but if anyone fancies one, gimme a shout!
