On the final day of the festival we were at Inverness Castle where Sanjay Das Photography led a small group on our photography walk and showed us how to get the best out of our smartphone cameras while, almost unknowingly, racking up the steps.

Walk Leader, Margaret Hastie, joined Andrew Lucas’s Caledonian Canal history walk this afternoon and shared this photo of the group. A really interesting walk which rounded off this year’s walking and wheeling festival!!

Yet another new partner for this year's festival was the Inverness Royal British Legion Pipe band. Because marching is, of course, another form of walking.

Among the new partners for this year's festival is the Inverness Caledonian Thistle Trust. When we heard they staged walking football sessions at their new community hub we knew we had to invite them to be part of the fun.
