The deadline for our fully funded theatre residency is next Monday, 31st August, 9am.

💷 Artist Fee £1,350 (2 weeks at £600, plus holiday pay)

Applications are now open for our second scratch night on Friday 13th November at Glen Mhor Hotel 🌟

We are looking for artists to deliver scratch performances, who will have a 20-minute slot to introduce and present their work to an audience.

They'll receive a budget of £250 to use as they fee fit (pay themselves, pay others, rehearsal space, props, etc.)

If you have any questions, please join us for our info session on Wednesday 9th 6pm.

Two weeks ago our artist in residence Angela worked on her project about the Klondykers in the 1980s in Ullapool.

The week was filled with research and capturing recollections from everyday folks sharing their experiences of the Klondyker years.

And at the end Angela did a beautiful sharing of the work in progress! We can't wait to see where the project takes you! 🤩

💼 We're hiring! 👋

We're looking for theatre maker(s) to work on our new project 'Our Green Future'.

This new project is delivered with young people at Glen Urquhart High School. They will participate in devising workshops, exploring how they imagine their futures within the context of the climate crisis (if at all).

We are recruiting Highland-based theatre-makers to develop a new performance concept, based on the ideas explored by the participants, with the view to developing a performance to tour to secondary schools in the future.

Join us next Friday for a sharing and conversation with our artist in residence's project in progress at Macphail Centre 🤩

It's free to attend and part of our second artist in residence programme!

Angela Stone will be sharing more about her project centred around the period of time in the 1980s when Ullapool was a major hub for the Klondykers (the herring/mackerel processing factory ships that anchored in Loch Broom during the Winter seasons).

Join us for our next online workshop, this time with Douglas Maxwell!

Douglas is going to lead a workshop all about playwriting, including playful writing exercise that examine character and empathy, before moving into the foundations of dramatic writing and the practical realities of the playwright’s craft.

Suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced writers looking for a fresh approach!

We're so excited to announce our second artist in residence for our Highland Theatre Residency, this time in Ullapool at the Macphail Centre! 🌟

Angela Stone is a freelance Director/Producer. After 20 years in arts management and cultural leadership in Yorkshire, she has relocated to the Scottish Highlands and wishes to connect with like-minded creatives to devise and deliver site specific, immersive experiences for our local communities.
