💛 Keeping Ingleton Gala Alive – It Takes a Village 💛
Over the last few weeks, we’ve shared just a small glimpse of what goes into making Ingleton Gala happen.
From the months of planning, organising and fundraising, to the people who set up the field, run the stalls, marshal the parade, organise the races, provide entertainment, donate prizes, sell raffle tickets and give their time on the day...
It really does take a village.
And while we love seeing everyone enjoying Gala Day, we also know how much work happens behind the scenes to keep this wonderful tradition going.
Over recent years, we’ve sadly seen some of our much-loved village events come to an end, including Sheafstock, and the 1940s weekend being scaled back. It’s a reminder that events like these don’t happen by themselves — they need people willing to give their time, energy and ideas.
The Gala Girls are still here, and we’re not ready to give up yet! 💪💛
Between running our own businesses, family life and everything else that comes along, we’ll keep doing everything we can to make sure Ingleton Gala continues.
But we need more hands on deck.
You don’t need to commit to everything. You don’t need to be available every week. Even an hour or two helping with planning, setting up, selling tickets, sharing ideas or lending a hand on Gala Day can make a huge difference.
New faces bring new ideas, new energy and help make sure Gala stays part of village life for years to come.
