The Warehouse Theatre, Ilminster Ilminster Entertainments Society (IES) is a registered charity (no.291977) and was formed in 1947. The society presents six productions every year.

A Theatre To Be Proud Of ... The Warehouse Theatre is a run entirely by volunteers from Ilminster Entertainments Society (IES). IES bring six productions a year to the theatre, plus an IES Youth production, as well as hosting a variety of concerts and plays. The Warehouse Theatre is one of the best equipped, professional-standard amateur theatres in the county and with productions from IES, as wel

Glorious! by Peter Quilter tells the hilarious and heartwarming true story of Florence Foster Jenkins – the New York socialite famously dubbed “the worst singer in the world.”

Set in 1940s New York, Florence warbled, screeched and sang her way to stardom, blissfully unaware of the critics and determined to follow her dreams.

ACT 3 YOUTH THEATRE - for young people in Years 8–10 who love acting, performing, creating and working as part of an ensemble.
Saturdays 11.00am–1.00pm
Ready to take your theatre skills to the next level?

Whether you already have lots of stage experience or are just discovering your confidence, Act 3 is a place to develop your skills, challenge yourself and have fun along the way!

What will we do?
Develop acting and characterisation skills
Explore different styles of theatre
Work on scripts and performance techniques
Develop voice, movement and stagecraft
Take part in drama games and creative workshops
Build confidence and performance skills
Work towards exciting productions and performances

We encourage our young performers to become confident, creative and independent performers, while learning how to work together as an ensemble.

ENCORE YOUTH THEATRE is our senior Youth Theatre group for young people in Year 10 and above (but will consider mature and experienced Year 9 performers who are ready for the next step).
Fridays 6.00–8.30pm
Ready to take your performance skills further?

This is a chance to work at a more advanced level, take on greater performance challenges and really develop your skills as a young actor.

PROLOGUE THEATRE GROUP - For children in Years 2–4

Saturdays at the Warehouse Theatre 9.00 – 10.00

Does your child love acting, dressing up and making up stories? Then Prologue could be the perfect place for them!

Prologue is our fun and friendly theatre group for younger performers, where children can build confidence, make friends and discover the magic of being on stage.

🎭 What will we do?
Play drama games and develop confidence
Explore characters and stories
Develop acting and performance skills Work together as a team
Have lots of fun and make new friends!

We want every child to feel confident, included and excited to perform, whether they are already a budding actor or have never stepped onto a stage before.

And there are performances to look forward to!
Children will have the opportunity to work towards shows and performances throughout the year, giving them the chance to put their skills into practice and experience the excitement of performing to an audience.
