We’ve got a new artist taking over our Ilkley gallery! 🎨

From 10th August to 12th September, we’ll be exhibiting a collection of paintings by Laura Dawes, featuring some beautiful Yorkshire landscapes and local scenes.

🎨 Calling all Yorkshire artists!

To celebrate Yorkshire Day, our brand-new Everything Yorkshire Art Competition opens this Saturday, 1st August!

The competition is open through both our Ilkley and Northallerton shops, and we want to see what Yorkshire means to you. From rolling moors and famous landmarks to local wildlife, people, food and places that feel like home.

Entry is completely FREE, with:

🏆 Over £200 worth of prizes
🖼️ Free professional framing for finalists
🎨 Six finalists exhibited in The Gallery at The Art Shop, Ilkley
🗳️ Winners chosen by our judging panel and a public vote

Open to artists and amateurs aged 16+. Original 2D artwork only, up to 20 × 16 inches.

Something a little different is coming to our Ilkley gallery this July... 📸

From 3rd to 19th July, we'll be hosting Photo Ilkley 2026, featuring the work of Aileen Brindley.

Aileen's exhibition explores people, places and moments through a thoughtful collection of photographs, and we're delighted to be showcasing her work in our gallery.

To celebrate the opening, we'll be holding a Preview Evening on Friday 3rd July from 5pm to 7pm, where you'll have the chance to meet Aileen and view the exhibition before everyone else.

If you're in Ilkley, we'd love you to pop in and take a look. Everyone is welcome.
