Welcome to the Ilfracombe Art and Craft Society's page. For over 40 years the society has presented a varied selection of local art and craft work in it's exhibition spaces. Today local people and visitors to Ilfracombe can enjoy a relaxing visit to our modern spacious gallery which is located along The Promenade, just along from Wetherspoon's The Admiral Collingwood. We are normally open
7 days a week 10.30am - 3.30pm.
Once inside the gallery you will find a large selection of original paintings created by talented local artists. From local seascapes and harbour scenes to studies of beautiful North Devon and Exmoor there's something to suit every ones taste. The craft work selection is just as varied. On show there's stained glass work, hand created glass sculptures and glass jewellery items, pottery, woodturning, forged ironwork, handmade cards, sewn and knitted creations as well as hand carved walking sticks and locally made violins. So whether you are looking for a large picture for that special place in your home, a small present for a friend or even fancy spoiling yourself with a reminder of your visit to Ilfracombe you'll be sure to find something suitable in our gallery..... and you can be assured that whatever you buy will have been produced locally and that a part of the cost your purchase will be donated to a local charity. Access to the gallery for wheelchairs is easy. We are less than 30 seconds walk from the bus stop. There's ample parking space opposite in the Landmark theatre car park. Dogs welcome! We do not display photography.
