We have now cast this years musical… apart from one role! This is open to any young person based in the Icklesham/ Hastings/ Rye area! And with that, the ‘Wonderland Rewritten’ script comes to a close. I have laughed, smiled and cried while writing this, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you so soon. I am so excited to watch what I’m sure will be an amazing cast of young people bring this story to life. There is still plenty of time to audition for this production, so check out the information on our page for more details. Auditions are the 14th and 17th of April, and the shows will be the 4th an the 5th of September. There is information about the characters and show in our bio aswell as an audition form which will need to be completed! See you at auditions!

A sneaky look at part of our script! Could you play Alice or Lorina in ‘Wonderland Rewritten’ to be performed in Icklesham on the 4th and 5th of September? We have roles for both Young Alice and Lorina, and then grown up Lorina! But what about a grown up Alice? Come to the auditions on the 14th and 17th of April to try and figure out what happens to her once she goes down the rabbit hole! More information can be found in the audition pack in our bio. Auditions are officially open for our September musical ‘Wonderland Rewritten’! I can’t wait to share this project with all of you and know you are all going to bring something amazing to it! I am beyond excited to be announcing a brand new show tomorow! For those of you who don’t know IPADS Next Generation- we are a small theatre group based in Icklesham that is run entirely by young people. Our goal is to inspire and support the next generation of actors to grow and have their own ideas within the performances. Members of the cast are encouraged to come forward with their own idea and have much more agency than they would in a traditional show where there is often an age hierarchy. Unlike a normal youth theatre, we do EVERYTHING ourselves- no adults allowed! Well, unless you’re a chaperone, but the heath and safety bits are boring anyway!

The script has been written by myself and I will ale be directing the show- I’m 19! This is the second show we have put on and we’re looking for more enthusiastic young people to come and get involved! You don’t necessarily need to perform- there are lots of backstage jobs also up for grabs!

As a smaller company, the support is really appreciated. The show will be in the first week of September, and auditions will be in the week beginning the 13th of April! Make sure to tag anyone who may be interested and come back tomorrow to see what the show will be!
