Our event information packs are now prepared and will be landing with societies over the next few days.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know about what to expect from this year’s awards night, along with the all-important details on how to book your tickets.

Societies – if you haven’t already confirmed your postal address with us, please do so as soon as possible. You won’t want to miss this information.

We can’t wait to celebrate another fantastic year of theatre with you all on Saturday 3 October 2026.

🌟 STAR AWARDS SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED 🌟

As part of yesterday's Northern Stage Awards Pantomime deliberations, our judging panel assessed an incredible 134 children performing in dancer, ensemble and chorus roles across the productions we reviewed this season.

We are delighted to announce that 27 young performers have been shortlisted for our brand-new Star Award category, created specifically to recognise those in supporting and ensemble roles who made a lasting impression on our adjudicators.

Selecting the shortlist was no easy task. With so much talent on display, narrowing the field to just 20% of the young people we saw proved incredibly difficult. Every child who stepped onto a stage this season should be immensely proud of their achievement, commitment and passion for performing.

Congratulations to all of those who have been shortlisted. We look forward to celebrating your success alongside theatre groups from across the region.

🌟 PANTOMIME DELIBERATIONS COMPLETE 🌟

A huge thank you to our team of adjudicators, coordinators and assistants who spent almost five hours yesterday evening carefully deliberating our Pantomime Awards section.

We can now confirm that 111 individuals have been shortlisted across our Pantomime categories, and our 29 award winners have been selected and deliberated fairly.

Now, our focus turns to the final productions of the season before we begin deliberations for our Musical, Drama and R***e awards.

📢 Later today, we'll reveal our Youth Star Award shortlist – recognising outstanding young performers in ensemble and supporting roles. These will be the first shortlist contenders announced for 2025/2026!

🌟 PANTOMIME DELIBERATION UNDERWAY 🌟

This evening, our team of adjudicators, coordinators and assistants are unavailable as we come together for one of the most important stages of the Northern Stage Awards process, the Pantomime Deliberation.

With 8 pantomimes, 329 individuals and 29 award categories to discuss, every performance is carefully considered to ensure that our decisions reflect the values at the heart of the NSA Way: credibility, consistency, transparency and fairness.

Being shortlisted is never taken lightly. In fact, reaching the shortlist stage is a tremendous achievement in itself, recognising the outstanding talent, dedication and hard work shown on stage throughout the season.

Our discussions tonight focus on ensuring every nominee receives fair and equal consideration as we work towards celebrating the very best of pantomime across the region.

📢 The first Pantomime Shortlist announcement, recognising the amazing performers shining from the ensemble, will be revealed tomorrow.

🎭 The remaining traditional pantomime categories, including Principals and Child Principals, will follow in July.

Thank you for your patience and continued support as we undertake this mammoth task.

Good luck to everyone involved and remember, being part of these deliberations is already an achievement worth celebrating.

🎭✨ Our full team will be coming together this Friday to discuss, deliberate, and select the shortlist and winners for our Pantomime Award categories ahead of our Awards Event this October! 🏆🌟

The full Pantomime shortlist will officially be revealed on 31st July alongside our traditional Musical, Drama, and R***e categories 🎶🎬🎤

But before then… we’re thrilled to announce that THIS SATURDAY we’ll be revealing the shortlist for our Pantomime Star Awards! 🌟🎉

Our Star Awards celebrate those incredible young performers in smaller roles or ensemble parts who truly stood out and made a lasting impression 💫 These awards recognise talented young people who may not fall into our traditional categories, and we believe celebrating every contribution in its own right can mean the world to them. ❤️👏 - We had five Pantomimes that included children in their ensemble this season that will be a part of Saturday's announcement.

While we can’t yet announce the Star Award shortlists for Musicals, R***es, and Dramas — as our adjudicators still have productions to visit this season 🎭📝 — we’re delighted to share the Pantomime shortlist following their deliberations.

It’s wonderful to welcome another vibrant and talented company into our ever-growing membership and it will be an honour to independently recognise them - we can’t wait to see their hard work celebrated through the NSA. 🌟

Every new member makes our network stronger and helps us continue our mission: to support, celebrate, and showcase the incredible theatre being created across the North West. 💫

It’s with mixed emotions that we say farewell to Davina, one of our incredible coordinators who has been with us since the very beginning. 💙

From August, Davina will be leaving the UK to start an exciting new chapter in Malaga, enjoying the Spanish sunshine and her well-earned retirement. ☀️🇪🇸

For over 11 years, Davina has been a familiar and valued part of the am-dram North West community, and throughout her brief time with us she has been a huge supporter of the NSA from day one. Her dedication, passion, and support have meant so much to us all, and she truly has been an invaluable part of the team organising our adjudicators.

All societies currently coordinated by Davina have been contacted today with details of their new coordinator, who will be continuing to liaise with them moving forward from August.

We can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for us since we started, and while we’ll miss her greatly, we wish her nothing but happiness in this exciting new adventure. (Although we’re hoping she might still make a special appearance at our October Awards! 👀)

Thank you for everything, Davina — you’ll always have a home at the NSA. Adjudication day in Spain next year yeah?. 💙
