? Simple cushions. I have been meaning to finish these for months so thought now would be an ideal time. Super simple and straightforward....I wish! I don’t think a project has given me so much angst! The soft fabric changed shape ever time I pressed it, I cut a strip too narrow (with no fabric to spare) then finally pressed it into shape and scorched one of them AND they are too big for the sofa. But they are comfy and the whippets love them!

The Little Cabin in the Trees. Wall hanging mainly in silk but with some hand dyed fabric. Hand and machine quilting. In France many years ago Jenny Bowker showed me a particularly quick technique for doing this. It took longer to quilt but I enjoyed doing it. Now I have plenty of time seem to have little incentive to start anything new especially as I was in the middle of sorting out the workroom ready for our move just as the lockdown was announced!! quilting

Emily’s Quilt. A quilt I designed and made for one of my daughters many years ago. Not a good photo as it entirely handquilted in straight lines approximately 1/4”apart. It has just been washed ready to give it to her little boy who will be 3 years old next week. Rainbow colours grading from red to violet.

Crazy Bed Quilt for my daughter made for her 21st (It was finished when she was 27!) Not a good photo. The red strips across the corners were supposed to look like gift ribbon wrapping with a bow and gift label at the bottom. All sorts of messages were embroidered on them. Mixed fabrics - satin, needlecord, velvet, cotton etc.

The Little Cabin in the Trees. I have just found the cake mummy made yesterday. She had only cut a couple of pieces but I found the rest when she wasn’t looking. Just sleeping it off! I left her a few crumbs though.
