Established in 2007, we sell an ethical range of locally hand crafted and fairly traded gifts made from eco-friendly and recycled materials - something different for everyone! We also have a fantastic refillery with over 200 individual products that you can refill - from herbs, spices and health and beauty products to eco-friendly household cleaning products. We're pet friendly too!

Well, well, well ...

One hundred and nineteen refills today!! ♻️🌍

Our previous record was way back in 2024 when we managed 117 refills in one day.

It's taken two years to beat, but today you did it 💪

Thank you to everyone who visited us today. You are all amazing 🥰✨️

Here's a rare behind-the-scenes photo of our tiny wee store room which is packed to the rafters with packets, tins and jars full of all your favourites, ready for tomorrow's Hairst. We really couldn't get anymore in there! Bear with us if you need something from in there - it may take us a while to find it 🙈

We're not quite Hairst ready, but I'm sure it'll be all right on the day🤞

Tomorrow, we will open an hour earlier than normal. Martyn has to help set up the Rotary stall, so I will open our door to customers at 8.30am. See you tomorrow! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Lewis of Crafted Comforts has restocked his wax melts, candles, and other bits n bobs - Martyn went to collect our order from him yesterday🕯

He also went to collect our order of oats from Boyndie aka Hamlyns🌾

We did get a big sack of flour in today, but Deveron Projects have taken it, so we only have around 1kg of strong white bread flour now until next Thursday 🍞

Andy made sure we have plenty of his runny and soft set honey - it's local to this area and incredibly tasty🍯

And Kate popped in with a restock of Neptune's Coffee and some of her own crafty items too Barking Mad Textiles☕️🧶

We've a new range of cards in ...

They are prints of original pastel paintings that have been done by Jeanette - known locally as "Jeanette-the-vet" as she was Huntly's vet until she retired last year.

They are lovely and we're very pleased to have them in our card section alongside the many other locally hand made cards.

My goodness where is the time going this year ⏳️

Today we had a pasta delivery 🍝

Traditional hand made pasta from Ivano in Aboyne. A true taste of Italy blended with local produce, herbs and spices. Combine it with his own pasta sauces and you've a delicious tea time treat 😋

It was Portsoy Wool Festival today, but we have a variety of wool for you too 🐑

We have bags of carded wool ready for you to spin or felt with, as well as yarn made from recycling old saris 🧶

We also have this amazing yarn made of banana fibre 🍌

Banana fiber yarn is made by extracting the fibers from the plant's harvested trunk. The pulp is scraped away and the remaining fibres are washed, removing the natural sticky gum of the plant, and dyed using natural pigments. The fibres are then dried outside naturally in the warm sunlight, carded and spun into this amazing eco-friendly yarn 🍌🧶

Entirely hand made ingeniously using a waste product that would otherwise have been thrown away. Fair Trade from India ♻️🌍

Are you a journaler or a diarist? Keeping a journal or a diary isn't something I've ever been able to do. But many people do🖋

We have these beautifully hand made journals in that would be perfect for those who like to keep a journal of their thoughts, feelings, goals and achievements, or simply note what you did today✒️

Another idea would be to use them for writing family recipes down; heirlooms for future generations 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

They are beautifully presented, made here in Huntly, and feature pretty florals and cute coos 💐🐮

What a fabulous gift they'd make 🎁💝

I may not be able to write a journal, but I do love a notebook, and flowers, and cows. I've spent decades researching my family tree and each branch has their own notebook full of special information and photos, so these have a good chance of finding their way into my desk 😁

There are just 3 days left to get your votes in for the Heart of the High Street Awards.

Voting closes on 30th August.

●You will need to create an account to vote.
●You'll need to enter an email address and create a password.
●You will then be asked a couple of questions, such as age, etc.
●After this is the "I'm not a robot" thing where you need to choose the squares with the traffic lights (for instance).
●Your account will then be created.
●It will then throw you out of that screen and put you back to the login screen, where you'll need to log in using the email and password you just entered.
●Then you can proceed to the voting screen where you can click on the business/businesses you want to win ... we are the first one on the list!! (Just sayin 😉)
●Then you scroll to the bottom of the list and submit your vote/s.
●You'll then receive an email to the account you just registered confirming your vote.

It's a crazily convoluted process that excludes anyone without an email address (that's a fair amount of our customers!) but if you do have an email address and you'd like to vote for us, either for yourself or on behalf of someone else, we'd appreciate it 🙏
