Progress Update:
Finally with some time available after all having returned to work we have met to push forward with P4P. Here's an update following a meeting we held last week...
We reviewed our original briefing paper and decided to move on from early tasks in order to complete a feasibility assessment – items requiring village input can be returned to once this is complete.
Five established local parks will be looked at and information gathered on the facilities, land size and costs involved. Data will then be used to draft a high level specification for the Perry playground, and land options can then be addressed (securing land will be a major deciding factor on whether or not the project is feasible).
It was put forward to the Parish Council that perhaps Playground 4 Perry could team up with the Allotment Working Party with a view to securing land together – an option could be for an alternative type of playground, including a children’s secret garden.
The group will now meet monthly to progress the project.
