The longer I work in events, the more I realise that very few things are actually “rules”.
✨ Everything has to match
✨ The prettiest design is the best design
✨ You need to follow every trend
I used to see these things very differently. Now, I’m much more interested in creating spaces that feel collected rather than coordinated, work beautifully as well as look beautiful, and feel personal rather than simply “on trend”.
For me, good design isn’t about following a formula. It’s about knowing when to follow the rules… and when to question them.
And perhaps that’s one of the best things about having 10+ years in the industry…realising you’re still allowed to change your mind.
