Half a year ago, these two were trapped together in a bed. We're very glad to see they've upgraded to a sofa with a stiff drink, and have put some bloody clothes on!

And just like that, it was over! Our many thanks to all of you who came to see The Bald Soprano, and we hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we've enjoyed putting it on! It's been an absolute giggle.

We'll be knuckling down now to focus on Huntingdon Drama Club's upcoming production of Boeing Boeing, and Shakespeare at the Tower's inaugural production of Twelfth Night. But after that we'll be back. See you then!

"How curious that is. How bizarre. And what a coincidence"

Absolutely thrilled with the feedback from our audiences on The Bald Soprano:

"We both enjoyed our evening of complete bonkersness. I thought the production and particularly the acting were top class - crisp and powerful, even in the strange world of the play"

"Outstanding. More please."

"Every single cast member is strong. Brilliantly directed. Very well done."

Final night tonight! Where does the time go (a clock bongs repeatedly in the distance...)

More fantastic feedback coming in for The Bald Soprano:

"Tonight I came away thinking your show was at a professional level. I enjoyed everything about it. This was my first visit to one of your productions but hopefully not the last. Great cast, faultless performances."

"Brilliant cast. Very well done."

"I was not expecting it to be as good as it was!"

We are SOLD OUT for the rest of the run but get in touch if you would like to be added to our waiting list.

And our final cast member to introduce you to is Katie Gouskos who is playing Mrs Smith.

Katie’s acting journey began when she was cast as the shadow of a protagonist who never appeared, a performance hailed as "profoundly unsettling" by baffled critics. She once played all five senses in an immersive production of The Tempest, requiring audience members to smell her monologues. A pioneer of avant-garde theatre, Katie has performed in zero-gravity, communicated entire scripts through eyebrow movements, and once understudied for the concept of regret. When not on stage, she trains goldfish in method acting

Next up, we have Stuart Nunn who is playing the Fire Chief.

Stuart began his acting career as a sentient lamppost in an avant-garde street performance, dazzling critics with his ability to emote through flickering. He later starred in Hamlet as both the Prince and the Ghost, performed simultaneously using quantum mechanics. Stuart has also been a mime consultant for invisible films, a voice actor for silent movies, and once played a convincing puddle in Macbeth on Ice. When not acting, he translates Shakespeare into whale song and teaches method acting to enthusiastic furniture.

Our next member of the cast is Ted Ridgway Watt, who is playing the role of Mr Martin.

Ted arrived. Or perhaps he had always been there. His first role was as a pause so pregnant it gave birth to an entirely new genre of theatre. In The Clock That Tick-Tocked Backward, he portrayed all twelve numbers, each trapped in its own existential crisis. The audience wept, though whether from sorrow or sheer chronological disarray remains a matter of debate. Either way, the seats were wet.

Next up, we have Justin Allum who is playing the role of Mr Smith.

Justin was born on a Tuesday, though some swear it was a Thursday, and one particularly persistent man insists he hasn’t actually been born yet. From that moment, he was destined for the stage—or was the stage was destined for him? It's hard to say. In his first role he played a door that refused to open, despite the best efforts of an increasingly desperate cast. He also once portrayed a chair that possibly existed, earning a standing ovation from an audience that definitely did not. Critics called it “groundbreaking.” He is still unsure what ground was broken and is now immediately off to check on his allotment.

Next up, we have Becky Gilbert, who is playing Mary.

Becky's acting style has been described by many as avant-garde, and by contrarians as apres-garde. In The Indecisive Banana, Becky portrayed both peel and pulp, a performance hailed as "deeply potassium-rich." She once spent an entire production vanishing one molecule at a time. No one is certain if she ever fully returned. Becky now dedicates her time to translating silence into twenty-three different puffin dialects.

Now on to the cast, and firstly we have Caroline Burgess who is playing Mrs Martin.

Caroline’s acting career began when she was accidentally cast as herself in a play that had never been written. She once performed an entire monologue in reverse, causing time to briefly whimper. In The Woman Who Was Also a Teapot, she played both woman and teapot, seamlessly switching between porcelain and existential dread. This performance was described as “deeply unsettling” by critics who later vanished. Caroline specializes in roles that require her to boogie-woogie mid-sentence.
