Artisan Music presents a not-for-profit festival celebrating music, nature and community at St Mary's Church Brampton.

We present exceptional folk and acoustic artists and raise funds for wildlife charities and church restoration. Folk n Blues in the Pews is a not-for-profit concert series and festival celebrating music, nature, and community. It takes place in the beautiful Church of St Mary Magdalene, nestled in the village of Brampton, Cambridgeshire. Our mission is simple: to bring world-class folk and acousti

c artists right to the doorstep of our local community, while raising vital funds for causes close to our hearts — including the Wildlife Trust and the church’s restoration fund. The festival takes place every September, with dates for 2026 to be announced soon.

We’ve been lucky enough to catch True Foxes 🦊 at a few festivals this summer, and we cannot wait to welcome them to St Mary Magdalene Church.

They are truly breathtaking live, and we know you’ll fall in love with their music just as we have. They will be the perfect closing act for Folk N Blues 2026.

Mark Radcliffe described them as having “sublime harmonies, perfectly crafted songs and a beguiling stage presence.”

One of the things that makes Folk N Blues In The Pews so special to us is that it brings together two things we care deeply about, live music and the natural world.

Our very own festival co-founder Pat Doody has been out capturing some of the incredible wildlife found locally, including these beautiful scenes from Brampton Wood.

In spring, the woodland floor comes alive with a spectacular carpet of bluebells, while through the summer the wood welcomes visitors from much further afield, including Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs arriving from Africa.

It’s also home to some wonderful butterflies, including the Black Hairstreak and Silver-washed Fritillary pictured here. 🦋

It’s places and wildlife like this that are at the heart of why we support the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire through Folk N Blues.
