Found some years ago bird drawings whilst sorting out my big box of pens. It's interesting to see how much progress there's been with them, especially recently with some of them them sprouting feathered wings to fly with 💙 last 2 images are today's bird drawings, I really REALLY like the blue one.

So, in order to keep the drawing up me and a friend are doing Drawember.. No rules, use whatever materials you want, spend as much time as you want (or as little time as you have) and just draw something everything day.. This is the first week..

Didn't think I was going to manage my last one but I did it, hooray, 31 days drawing completed. Definitely an interesting creative process and though I feel ready for a break I'm actually going to start again tomorrow, in a slightly different way!

Got my background colours down then realised I've mislaid my paint pens 😔 Luckily i have metallic/glitter gel pens from years ago 🤣
Then I had a little play on my phone, I'm liking the b/w and rainbow versions best, though the coloured rainbow starts to look like a batik which is an interesting development.

Had an inspiring conversation today about making stencils and thought today's drawing was going to reflect that but out came a tree instead because I wanted to play with the fine liners I uncovered.

Really pleased that I've managed to do another still life drawing before Jo's wonderful teaching slips from my memory. Utilising drawing without an outline, which I've realised might help my practice, because drawing so much with marker pens leads to outlines!

Another fantastic art session allows me to post these as today's offerings (honestly if I could be bothered to go back and edit all my posts to drawtober I would 😂) which is lucky because after the class i had to drive to Scotland again to help out more at my parents so no other drawing time today..

Today's picture ended up being a tiny excuse of adoodle because I just couldn't leave yesterday's alone. This is why i usually put them away in a folder.. But as the aim of doing this is to get me drawing again and I really like the end result, I'm not too upset 😉

There are some pretty amazing oak trees near us. I wanted to draw some leaves, but then drew on the leaves.. Luckily I was then inspired to draw the leaves..
