, our second production of 2022, based on the Noel Coward film of 1945. A chance encounter at a railway station leads to something much more powerful and poignant. This adaptation, by Emma Rice, brought the timeless tale of joy and heartbreak to the stage, with an ensemble cast and nine of Noël Coward's own songs.

Hi - a bit of a random request please, but is there a historical archive anywhere of people of Huddesrfield in the performing arts? A line of my family (the Brownhills) came from around the area and I have a hand written song/music book featuring a JT Brownhill who was a a female impersonator. The images look like early 1900s, but I can't track down any information on him and how he links to the family. Any help gratefully received. Thanks
A play about joy and heartbreak, quarries and transmat beams…

The brilliant Huddersfield Thespians are back TOMORROW with their production of Michael Dennis’s bold sci-fi comedy, Dark sublime! Presented as part of LGBTQ+ History Month.

When an obsessed fan arrives at the door of an actress, half-remembered for her role on an old cult TV show, he forces her back into the past, and a strange, outrageous world she hasn’t visited in almost 40 years.

What follows is a battle between nostalgia and letting go of the past as together they discover what every good relationship needs is time and space.

Running Wed 2 until Sat 5 February. Tickets 👉 https://bit.ly/3nWYOzk

👇 Our friends at Huddersfield Thespians are back and have been busy in the rehearsal room preparing for their next performance, Teechers by John Godber.

The riotous, fast-moving and highly entertaining schooldays comedy is jam packed with hilarious (and embarrassing!) moments about the new drama teacher and his perilous first days inside a comprehensive school.
