COVID-19: ATTENDING EVENTS AT KIRKLEES TOWN HALLS

Following the latest government announcement (8th December 2021) that masks are now mandatory in all UK concert halls, we kindly ask all customers to wear one when visiting our venues, unless exempt, or when eating or drinking.

• We also encourage our customers to socially distance where possible in communal areas, for example the bars, corridors, toilets and foyers.

• There will be hand sanitiser stations available around the building.

• We are operating an enhanced cleaning regime with high touch areas (door handles etc) being cleaned more frequently.

• We’re minimising the amount of time people spend in our bar areas by offering a reduced selection of drinks. All furniture is also being removed from bars to encourage our customers to take drinks straight to their seats in the auditorium, instead of drinking them in communal areas and bars.

• In the interests of safety we are encouraging our patrons to make payments by card.

• We’re minimising the number of customers in our foyers to help social distancing. This may mean that you’re asked to queue outside to help reduce congestion in corridors, staircases and foyers, so please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

• Ticket checking will be contactless, please have your tickets ready for presentation when arriving at the venue.

• NHS QR codes will still be available on entrances for customers who wish to check in to the venue.

• Additional ventilation will be in place with windows open where possible.

Please DO NOT COME TO THE VENUE if you:-

• Are exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms as outlined on the NHS website
• Have had a positive Covid test within the last 10 days
• Have been advised to self-isolate within the last 10 days
• Have recently returned from abroad and been told to quarantine

If anyone does attend in contravention of the above you will be refused entry or be asked to leave the venue.

This Christmas has been a particularly busy period for the band, performing to over 6000 people at 9 concerts. We have been blown away by the support we have received this Christmas!

I'm having SUCH a lovely week of concerts featuring The Snowman, including my debut with the unbelievably good Orchestra of Opera North in Huddersfield Town Hall on Tuesday, and a home-town gig in Sheffield City Hall (my first time conducting there) yesterday with my super colleagues from the Carrot Productions' Picture House Ochestra. Here's a clip from yesterday afternoon's performance, with fantastic soloist Esme Sexton, featuring a Whale Tail sync that I'm quite pleased with 🙈🐳☃️

I'm having to pinch myself so often at the moment: I can't quite believe I get to work with these seriously amazing orchestras and musicians– I feel incredibly lucky and thankful, it's the most enjoyable job in the world! 🤯🤩😍
