Not done one of these in awhile.. This UK post box is a 3 part fibreglass kit that over the next few days I'll be assembling. Once the parts are trimmed I'll fit the top and then add a wooden frame inside..

Morning all..

I got the giant HP spider completed for a 7am pickup Friday morning.. totally misjudged this one on how long it'd take to do giving it 6 days spread over a couple of weeks, how I normally try and do these sort of things but it turned out to be 10 days with the last 2 being 16 hours and 23 hours.. I think it's because I'm getting old and decrepit... !! I also forgot to take any photos before it went which was abit silly. However a friend sent me these this morning and I think it looks pretty good.

The body is 9 foot long and legs about 7 foot each side.. so a big grub and not the kind of thing you want to see in your bath!

Just a quick post/comment that I'd like to clarify on.. I've been creating props for nearly 30 years now and been building up the page slowly over the last 10/15 ish years.. its hard work running a business. So it's annoying when I have to take time out to delete comments by people using my page to sell their own products, services... 3d printed bits, etc.. especially when people come on and post that they can produce the same thing for half the price.. well maybe you can but probably without 3 grands worth of overheads every month before you make your first £1.. so not on my page thanks... set up your own page and do it there !! I will immediately delete and block anyone trying to pitch their own products or services on my page especially if its directly competing with something I've spent alot of time on or a long time sourcing. It isn't fair and I wouldn't do it to anyone else.

Sorry to whinge..

Hi everyone...

Coming to the end of another project today and tomorrow.. for the last 10 days I've been building a huge HP spider for an event this weekend. I'm hoping that by the end of tomorrow or at least Friday morning I can get some pics on here for you..

Next week it's back onto the Robocop head, Alien head and one or two other things..

These old dyeline print copies from Judge Dredd have been on ebay for ages and the seller dropped them down to £30 each so I picked 2 for the collection. First is exterior plans for the Geigers Bazaar set and 2nd is for the entire street set built at Shepperton Studios. Such a shame these big sets have to go but it's not a museum. I bet the Gotham City set at Pinewood was a sight to see... I have a set of traffic lights that came from that one..

New sculpt starting this month....

This one is a backboard crest sculpt for the full size fibreglass HP Troll face. I have a couple of castings of the original crests (one pictured) that were made for the great hall doors and great hall fireplace and wanted to sculpt a larger version (approx 85x65cm) for the Troll to display on. Crests this size I don't think we're ever made, at least I've never seen any. I'll try to incorporate as much from the original design as possible while also making it my own unique piece.. should be a fun project...

Hi all

Just a short heads up on some items that I'll be putting on here in the coming days/weeks. I'm hoping to add a couple of new fan themed pieces to the inventory each month which will be available as either finished display items or unfinished if you prefer to build and paint your own. Some of them I've been documenting progress on the page to you can see how I get there. Once available I'll put pics on and you can message me if your interested. Numbers will be limited as there's only me here. To give everyone an equal chance when somethings ready to sell please keep interacting with posts so Facebook knows its a page that your interested in. Otherwise it'll sink away and you'll miss some cool stuff.. Today I've an Aliens Pulse boom stick (you know) and a Dr Doom helmet mask. Message for details!

The Aliens Pulse is cast from one I got from the original studio mould. It has all the details and imperfections of the screen used ones.. including the small dent on the side below the counter.. see publicity pic with Bill Paxton..

Pieces I sell are a mix of items I've made myself, moulds I've bought from prop makers, cast from screen used and production made or pieces I've reworked/expanded on to improve or fix. All are rewarding in their own way.

Posts on new items won't be every day but I'll try to keep them coming..
