The exhibition is off to Chester next
Grosvenor Museum and Stretton Watermill .

Opening day is Saturday 26th September and the covers will be there until 17th January 17th 2027.
The museum is open:
Tuesday to Saturday 10.30 am -5pm
Sunday 1-4pm.

Ah lovely Dolly, what a charmer and a superstar. Dolly's Bubbling Over cover has been in our collection from the start and in classic plain speaking Dolly style she 'fessed up to what a mess it was in her book "Songteller: My Life in Lyrics"

"It's an awful picture of me," she wrote "We kept working and working on that picture, trying to make it look right. We needed that fountain, and we kept trying to superimpose my face on it. It's just one of those mistakes you make."

We did email Dolly asking her to write a foreword for our book 'The Art of the Bizarre Vinyl Sleeve" . We heard nothing until earlier this year when this email landed in my inbox🤩
It's just a standard email to her fans but it's the most gorgeous thing, shared here for all our own lovely fans at Assembly Festival Mansfield Museum Edinburgh Festival Fringe and all over the world. Let's keep sharing our joy, Dolly style.

"Jo Anna Sings Your Favourites" has been arousing some puzzled looks in our exhibition at Assembly George Square Studios Bar in Edinburgh Assembly Festival
It's that frog🐸🐸🐸
No I don't know what it's doing there either! Other than that it's up in the top corner next to the name of the record company and it's also on the label on the record so maybe it just got printed by mistake on the cover as a happy little accident !(Looking at you The Bob Ross Effect 😂)

Perhaps the Frogs in Bogs experts at Familia Theatre can help us out with their frog expertise ?

Anyway that's about all we know about Jo Anna . She may have been called Jo Anna Burns Miller and someone has made this lovely video with some samples from the LP including a William Shatner style medley from the wizard of Oz.

It's that time of year again and Britain is divided into the hots and the not hots! Not hot with Neil at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe or Mansfield Museum but they're still having Hot August Nights down south!
