After four very full days in Newcastle, I’m back home, just beginning to process what a wonderful weekend it was 🌿

The Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair brought together such a fabulous mix of amazing creativity, all under one roof!  It was incredible to spend time among so many brilliant makers and have thoughtful conversations about art, design and craft.

To everyone who stopped by my stand, to chat, ask questions, share observations or take work home: thank you.  I’m hugely grateful.  To the organisers, neighbouring exhibitors and all the lovely people I encountered throughout my trip (including beyond the event), thank you for making the whole experience so smooth and welcoming.

By Sunday, my stand looked quite different, after my largest piece moved out with lovely, new collectors, sparking a reshuffle and a fresh, new arrangement 🌿

I know a few visitors were still thinking about particular pieces, so please feel free to reach out with any questions.  I’m also happy to offer free, regional delivery for the next 2 weeks— just drop me a message and I’ll arrange everything.

Now it’s back to the studio, slightly exhausted, hot 🌞 and thinking about all the weekend sparked 🌿  hope you're all keeping cool and refreshed in this sudden burst of heat ☀️

Before heading north for my next showcase, I stopped by the Marshian Arts Trail in Huddersfield today 🌿 Marshian Arts

It’s a wonderful, community project, bringing artwork from local makers into cafés and shops, like little moments of discovery in everyday spaces. I'm so pleased to be included with a selection of prints at Marshmallow Café.  It's lovely to see them together like this — many of the original paintings have now travelled out into the world, so it’s always interesting to see how pieces sit alongside each other again in a new form, appearing now between coffee and conversations.

The trail continues until 21st June, so there’s still time to explore if you’re nearby.  For me,  its now time for final preparations for the art fair in Newcastle later this week🌿

If you’re out and about, I’d love to know if you’ve spotted any of the trail and what caught your eye.

As one countdown continues, another chapter is drawing to a close 🌿

This weekend is the final opportunity to visit Grubs Up! at Inspired by... gallery in Danby Lodge — a beautiful exhibition celebrating wild growth, biodiversity and the richness of less-managed landscapes.  It's been such a pleasure to be part of a collective exploration of ideas that sit so naturally alongside my work.

Over the past few weeks, visitors have been surrounded by artwork responding to these themes in wonderfully different ways, all within one of the most beautiful gallery settings.

As preparations continue for Newcastle next week, it feels fitting to pause and celebrate this wonderful exhibition before it closes...  If you're in the Whitby area this weekend and looking for an inspiring visit, I'd thoroughly recommend it 🌿

And I'd love to know — what signs of wild growth or seasonal change have caught your eye recently? 🌾

7 days until the Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair in Newcastle is set up and previewing! 🌿

Here's a peek behind-the-scenes in the moments before a previous art fair: the organised chaos that comes with the exciting challenge of turning a blank space into somewhere people can stop, look and connect meaningfully with the artwork.

The next few days will be filled with final decisions, finishing touches, preparations and packing a collection. There always seems to be a point in the lead-up where excitement overtakes organisation and it suddenly starts to feel real. I'm still deciding whether to bring this woodland piece along, but I'm definitely looking forward to meeting everyone who's coming to the fair!

If you've visited Newcastle before, I'd love to know what you've enjoyed discovering there — art, a favourite place or somewhere you'd recommend exploring while I'm in the city 🌿

A few days on from a wonderful weekend at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, here's a big, heartfelt thank you 💛

It was such a pleasure to be back with the brilliant people of and in Hebden Bridge, surrounded by a vibrant group of creatives and visitors.  Thank you to Lucy and everyone involved in organising,  hosting and running another marvelous event.

Thank you also to everyone who came along, stopped to chat, shared thoughts, asked questions or spent time with the work.  It means so much hear how different pieces resonate with you.  This little canvas seemed to gather a lot of attention over the weekend, here it is again as a small glimpse of the display.

Meanwhile, Grubs Up! exhibition continues at Inspired By... Gallery (Danby Lodge) for its final few days and preparations are well underway for the Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair in Newcastle next weekend... And the Marshian Arts Trail is now in full swing around Marsh,  Huddersfield too!

More on those soon, but for now — thank you again to everyone who made the Hebden weekend such a fabulous few days 🌿

It feels like one of those weekends where art pops up in all sorts of places 🖼 🌱

I'm pleased to exhibiting with the wonderful group again today at the Artists' Market in Hebden Bridge Town Hall, surrounded by a fabulous group of artists and makers.  It's such a friendly, welcoming event and has already been lovely to spend time talking about art, seasons, favourite places and the stories that different pieces bring to mind.

At the same time, the Arts Trail has begun in Huddersfield, where I'm delighted to be sharing a collection of prints at the lovely Marshmallow Café over the next two weeks.

There's something special about weekends like this,  where art becomes part of everyday life, whether through a planned visit to an exhibition or simply stumbling upon it whilst out exploring, socialising or relaxing with a coffee.

If you're visiting Hebden Bridge this weekend, do pop into the Town Hall and say hello...  And if you're in Huddersfield over the next couple of weeks, keep an eye out for the Marshian Arts Trail as it fills local shops and business spaces.

Hope your weekend is filled with inspiring discoveries and a little time to enjoy the places you love too 🌿

I love finding art in different places and seeing people connect with work in different ways.  A gallery, an art fair, a market or a shop window can all spark completely different conversations and interactions.

June is already shaping into a wonderfully full month, with work heading out into all sorts of spaces, from the Artists' Market at Hebden Bridge Town Hall this weekend to Newcastle's Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair mid-month.  I'm also delighted to be part of Marshian Arts Trail, a local community event bringing art into local businesses and shops - I'm pleased to share a special print collection at the lovely Marshmallow Café from 6th–21st June for this.

Meanwhile, Grubs Up! exhibition continues at Inspired By... Gallery until 14th June, where I'm sharing meadow paintings inspired by wild growth and seasonal change — ideas that continue to feed into new work in the studio.

With planning ahead for Holmfirth Artweek in July too, it's lovely to have all kinds of shows alongside new work unfolding.

Whether you're planning gallery visits, local events, countryside walks or simply making the most of the longer days, I hope June brings plenty of moments that inspire and surprise you 🌿 🌿  Looking forward to seeing where the month leads.

A few meadow-inspired paintings will be heading to Hebden Bridge Town Hall next weekend for the Artists' Market 🌿

After spending so much of May noticing wild growth, seasonal colour and changes in the landscape, it feels just the right time for these works.

I'm still making final decisions about exactly which pieces I'll be bringing, but there will be original paintings and prints inspired by the rich, layered spaces that have been such a focus in the studio recently.

If you're nearby, it would be lovely to see you there. There's always something special about sharing work in person and hearing the stories, memories and observations that different pieces spark.

Peparations continue this week but for now, here's to carrying a little of May's wild colour and abundance with us into June 🌿
