I've always dreamed of seeing elephants in real life in their natural habitat! 🤩

This dream inspired me to create this iris folding elephant wall art! 🥰

I have to say I'm quite proud of this creation and it will fit nicely on the wall in my room - yeah that's right I'm keeping this one! 😉

Dreaming of knights, princesses and castle adventures! 👸🏽🏰

I (Amanda) have ALWAYS loved castles and tales of adventures and princesses so this pretty pink castle is perfect for me! 😍

I remember learning about castles in school, visiting nearby ones and imagining what life would be like if I lived in a castle!

My favourite castle I’ve been to is Penryn Castle in North Wales, anyone who has been will agree how beautiful and breath-taking it is! 🥰

If castle walls could talk, they'd have some amazing stories to tell! ⚔️

Yorkshire is the largest county in the UK! 🤯

August 1st has been a celebration of Yorkshire for many years. It marks the anniversary of the Battle of Minden in Prussia in 1759. Yorkshiremen from the 51st regiment picked white roses from bushes near to the battlefields and wore them on their coats as a tribute to their fallen comrades. 🌸

It also coincides with the date that slaves were emancipated in 1834 by very our own Yorkshireman - William Wilberforce, a member of the British parliament who was native to Hull and led the abolishment of the slave trade in 1807⛓️‍💥

How do people celebrate Yorkshire day? 🏵️

Fish & chips, Yorkshire puddings and of course (my favourite) TEA! 🫖😍

I thought I’d commemorate this notable day in history by iris folding the white rose as the Yorkshire flag 🏵️

✨ A moment of peace ✨

One of my favourite childhood memories was mum and I being sat by a lake, on the Isle of Skye, with a cup of tea (of course) and seeing this beautifully vibrant blue dragonfly buzzing by! 🏞️

I remember it being such a peaceful experience to share with such a beautiful creature so I knew I had to make something of it! 😍

When I am experiencing a stressful day in the business of running Pretty in Paper and working for the charity in London, I try remember moments of peace and this is one I am frequently reminded of due to this dragonfly wall art 😍😌

1.92 million strawberries are eaten at Wimbledon every year! 🍓

I wanted to share this iris folded strawberry I made in celebration that Wimbledon starts today in the UK 🎾🍓

Strawberries and cream have been a famous part of Wimbledon since the late 1800s, likely due to their seasonal availability 🌞

The cutest craft idea for cat lovers! 🐈‍⬛

I grew up with cats in the house. First we had Joel, our beautiful ginger cat. 🐈

I also have very fond memories from my childhood of visiting my Auntie who had lots of cats. When she sadly passed away, my family adopted her feline friends (Tammy, Snowball & Lucky). 🐱

When we got our family dog Harvey, he and one of the cats, Lucky, became inseparable! 😍 Harvey even learnt how to use the cat flaps from following him around! 🤣

And that’s why I’m super excited to have teamed up with cats protection to create a Craft for Cats card making kit!

In less than 6 weeks time, I (Bethan) will be abseiling down one of London’s highest City landmarks – The Leadenhall Building AKA the Cheesegrater, standing at a whopping 215m!

And why? To fundraise £500 for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s three charity partners –MQ Mental Health Research, Homewards and National Numeracy – who each deliver groundbreaking programmes and find solutions to some of UK’s most pressing societal issues.

As someone who has personally battled with mental health challenges, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact it has on individuals and communities. That's why I'm especially passionate about supporting MQ Mental Health Research, an organisation at the forefront of tackling this growing issue. Your contribution to this fundraiser will fuel groundbreaking research, providing hope and solutions for those in need.
