Beaten into second by the fantastic Quintessential. It was the right result - they sang beautifully. Their version of 'Perfect', was!
Overall a very good outing to Whitby for us and the joy of listening to some amazing choirs.
Back next year, hopefully, after I've had a good lie-down! 😅😴

So, it's that time of year again - The Eskdale Festival National choir competition! Held in Whitby Pavillion (it's a big stage for only 5 of us) and a wonderful music-filled day of glorious singing.
It'll be a tough competition for us this year but we'll do our best and enjoy the day, whatever happens.
I'm looking forward to listening to the other choirs and perhaps picking up some new song ideas. (Oh, and Whitby fish and chips afterwards) 😉

We're having a well-deserved break for Easter but then it's back to 'work' as we get ready to visit Alba Rose in Pickering to sing for the lovely residents and after that, on 18th April, we are once again taking part in the amazing Eskdale Festival National Choir Competition at The Whitby Pavilion. 13 choirs will be there from all over the country performing many and varied pieces. We are in the Ensemble class and The Small Choir class. Such a lovely, friendly event. We love it! £10 for a day ticket, £5 for half day. Well worth it!

Our concert on Saturday night with Sound Fellows, could definitely be called a success. The tickets sold out, the audience were amazing and the team who organised it did a magnificent job, including prettifying the whole room!
Our MC, Rob, did a sterling job making sure everyone was happy and really kept everything together.
We raised over £900 for worthy causes in Hovingham plus extra for the performers to donate to their own charity.
We'd very much like to thank Sound Fellows for agreeing to do this event and it was magical to be able to sing a couple of songs with them - next time we'll have an encore ready!
(yes, there will be a 'next time', just not for a while! Watch this space.)

Last few tickets left for our concert on Saturday 21st. We had sold out but the organisers made room for another table so get in quick.
Tomorrow night's rehearsal is with Sound Fellows which should be fun! Exciting! 😁

Very exciting news! We are performing with the wonderful Sound Fellows in March. Like us, they are an a ca****la ensemble, singing a wide range of genres and they're fab!
Ticket payment is on the door but seats must be booked beforehand, either on the website on the poster or by ringing the numbers below. Tickets are selling fast!
Come and join us all at Hovingham village hall for a cabaret-style evening. Bring your own drink and nibbles, although some food will be available to buy.

Tuesday was our annual Christmas visit to Alba Rose care home in Pickering and as usual a lovely welcome and a great sing-along audience. Very festive!
Sunday will be our last Christmas outing (if the weather is kind) We're going to be busking in Pickering this year so come along and have a Christmas sing with us. We'll be there at 11, in the High street.
