Summer Schedule Update ☀️

Over the summer months, our life drawing sessions will be running every other week from June to August, with weekly sessions returning in September.

We've made this decision because attendance tends to drop significantly during the summer. Between students leaving Brighton and people making the most of the good weather, we're finding it increasingly difficult to sell enough tickets to cover our model fees.

Rather than cancelling sessions at short notice, we'd rather run fewer sessions and make sure we can continue paying our models fairly and keep the club sustainable.
If you've been thinking about coming along, we'd really appreciate your support this summer. Every ticket makes a difference and helps us continue running life drawing sessions in Brighton.

Weekly sessions resume in September.

Hi, I’m Tiago I started BASC a couple of years ago with the goal of offering affordable workshops and bringing people together through art around Brighton.

Hello, I am Alex! I helped the team to set up Brighton Arts Social Club whilst studying Illustration at Brighton University. I love working alongside the community on creative projects and workshops.

✨ ELLIE
Hi, I’m Ellie Pompili and I’ve been with BASC since it was founded in 2022. At BASC I help running workshops when needed, mainly printmaking sessions. I also occasionally model for life drawing and sometimes attend the sessions myself, as drawing and working with the body have always been part of my creative practice.

Hi I’m Jill I’ve been running life drawing sessions with BASC for 3 years now!

Hi! I’m TradeMarked I mainly play a supporting role within BASC because it gives me a chance to help nurture the community’s love for printmaking.

Hi, my name is Jade and I’m the newest member of BASC and I have been co-running the Tuesday life drawing classes with Jill since March 2025.

Hi, I’m Tiago I started BASC a couple of years ago with the goal of offering affordable workshops and bringing people together through art around Brighton.
I studied graphic design and printmaking at uni, and these days I work as a programmer while keeping art as a much-loved hobby.
Over the years I’ve run all sorts of sessions, from life drawing to lino printing, but lately lino has become my main focus.

Hello, I am Alex! .pressure I helped the team to set up Brighton Arts Social Club whilst studying Illustration at Brighton University.
I love working alongside the community on creative projects and workshops. I have collaborated with Museums, artists, community groups and print studios. Currently, I am studying and facilitating the Lino evening sessions!

Hi, I’m Ellie Pompili and I’ve been with BASC since it was founded in 2022.
At BASC I help running workshops when needed, mainly printmaking sessions. I also occasionally model for life drawing and sometimes attend the sessions myself, as drawing and working with the body have always been part of my creative practice. Alongside this, I work in reprographics as a designer and printer.

Outside of BASC, I’m a visual artist and photographer. My photography often explores the female figure, identity, and collaboration through both digital and analog processes. I also love travelling, especially solo trips, which often inspire my work.

Hi I’m Jill I’ve been running life drawing sessions with BASC for 3 years now! I studied animation at uni and currently work as a motion graphics designer full time alongside doing life drawing classes. I also do bits of illustration here and there for fun, makers markets and workshops.

Hi! I’m TradeMarked . I mainly play a supporting role within BASC because it gives me a chance to help nurture the community’s love for printmaking.

It’s a beautiful experience hearing people enjoy the space we provide for creativity and always so heartening to see people step through the barrier of fear into making art!
Outside of this I tattoo and and also work as a nursery practitioner so it’s safe to say I love engaging with people of all types.

Hi, my name is Jade and I’m the newest member of BASC and I have been co-running the Tuesday life drawing classes with Jill since March 2025. I am a full time Life Model and creative and met Jill when she modelled for my session late 2024.

I had mentioned to her that I sometimes cover sessions around Brighton and if she ever needed cover I’d be happy to, she had said that she would like a co-host and I jumped at the chance.

Alongside life modelling and drawing I also enjoy practicing other forms of art including photography, graphic design and writing.
