I spent a couple of hours yesterday with the lovely Jina Gelder Illustration who taught me about heat pressing. Jina is a fabulous artist and her products are stunning. You will find her this weekend Harrogate Flower Shows. I now have to decide which equipment will be best for my wordy designs. I can't wait to get going. I have no patience 😄

I'm flicking throught Insta stories and I have to blink a couple of times before I realise that Etsy UK are advertising my personalised mugs.

They are very popular so it might just go a bit crazy! My fingers are crossed.

Perth is well under way. I need to work out which colours to use but that is always last.

Did you know that your can watch salmon jumping in the weir in Perth at certain times of the year? I'd love to see that.

I'm a little sad that York River Art Market has come to an end this year. It's been a brilliant event. I've met loads of lovely and very talented traders and the nicest customers.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to have a look at my stall, bought some of my work or simply to say how they liked what I do. I enjoyed all our chats and have a lot more areas to add to my design waiting list.

My neighbour this weekend was Laura Joy Design | Illustrator & Maker who I already followed on Instagram but got to meet her in person. I'm happy to report that her and her mum are both lovely and they kept me entertained all day. I couldn't resist taking home one of Laura's gorgeous prints of the ice cream boat.

Caroline Happy Pot Mama what an amazing job you have done. I loved every minute of the market especially spotting you steering a boat down the river. I thought I was seeing things 🤣

Another lovely Sunday York River Art Market

I had Linesy with me today who was a massive help and went off on lots of wanders around York.

My neighbours today were Bejojo Art, Illustration & Design and Beth Hardy who both had loads of customers checking out their stalls.

I met some lovely people and heard some great stories.

Today's best seller was Edinburgh! Bizarre but great.

I'm there again next Sunday for the last weekend of the market.

Sunday was my favourite day of the summer so far. York River Art Market was such a fabulous day. The sun was shining, the people came to look, there was ice cream and it was organised beautifully. The customers were lovely and I had some cracking conversations.

Charlie was a massive help as usual (he is still paying off his driving lessons) especially pulling the trolley along the cobbles. I've got aching shoulders today!

My neighbours were all great and I'm really looking forward to Sunday to do it all again.

I've been quoted in the newspaper about the York River Art Market. I would encourage anyone to visit this if you can. It's a beautiful place to mooch along the river and browse all the amazing arty stalls. You can watch all the boats go by and there is even a boat on the river bank selling ice cream.

It has been compared to the markets on the banks of the river Seine in Paris.

The market is on for the next two weekends in August and I will be back this Sunday 9th August and then again on 16th.

A popular York outdoor event says its first weekend has ‘surpassed expectations’ as hundreds flock to the banks of the River Ouse.
