❗NEW with 10% OFF until the 2nd of August❗
📣 The Kerr Stuart 'Larger Wren'

009 Gauge Locomotive body kit for the Bachmann N scale Percy Chassis.

This is a much‑requested adaptation of our 2015 Tyneside Models Kerr Stuart Wren kit. The Wren is an extremely popular locomotive, seen on many 1 ft 11 in – 2 ft 6 in gauge railways across England and Scotland. This time, we’ve completely revamped the kit from the ground up, rescaled it to 4.5 mm scale and added several detail changes to accommodate the reliable Bachmann N‑scale “Percy” chassis.

Two cab variants are offered. The first is an enclosed industrial cab, as seen on ironstone railways in England, incorporating the additional rear cab sheet supplied with a number of Wren‑class locomotives. The second is a highly requested E‑class style cab, incorporating visual cues from the Bala Lake Railway’s former Wren with additional sand pots, perfect for preservation railway modellers and fans of the fictional 'Luke' locomotive.

Order this week to get 10% off!

If you would like add this to an ongoing order, please get in touch!

📣 The Kerr Stuart 'Eider' kit has returned with a glow up!
❗Order before 5pm tomorrow BST for 20% off!

This kit is an update of a popular 2A Model Rail kit (now SpannerShed Models ) released in 2013 for Shapeways, making this one of the oldest kits in our range! This update is designed primarily to fit the Bachmann N Scale Thomas chassis, with an alternative 'open fit' option that allows the modeller to use a chassis of their own choice.

Our Kerr Stuart 'Eider' class kit, is based on the Talyllyn Railway's proposed Kerr Stuart locomotive. We have adjusted the chimney and cab height from the original drawing to fit the Talyllyn's loading gauge prior to the preservation era. Whilst not being recorded as one of Kerr Stuart's usual classes, there have been records of similar 3ft gauge locomotives running in the 1900s-1920s in the British Isles. As such we named this the 'Eider' class, following Kerr Stuart's bird naming convention, with 'Eider' being a type of seaduck.

Kerr Stuart builders plates and custom nameplates are available from our good friends at Light Railway Stores.

📣 LIMITED EDITION - WHILE STOCK LASTS
Corris Falcon Hughes Tramway 009 Body Kit for the KATO 11‑109 chassis
❗+ First order receives a FREE chassis worth £19.99 ❗

This limited‑run kit is an adaptation of our existing Corris Railway No. 3 “Falcon” body kit, originally produced as a special commission. As tramway conversions of non‑tram locomotives are not part of our usual range, no further batches will be produced once current stock is gone. Don’t miss the chance to own a true‑to‑scale tramway edition of Corris Railway No. 3 for under £45 in total.

This variant of the Tyneside Models Corris Railway Falcon kit depicts Corris No. 3 in its most recognisable form, fitted with tram skirts as a low‑cost option for modellers working to a tighter budget. It’s ideal for representing the railway’s sole surviving Falcon as if it had been adapted for tramway service, and equally perfect for recreating Rev. Wilbert Awdry’s spare Falcon, as featured on his well‑known Mid Sodor Railway layout.

📣 It’s time to make this official!
Our proposed Corris Railway Bogie Tramcars are now available from just £19.99.
❗And the first three orders will receive a FREE additional carriage! ❗

Earlier this year, we visited The Corris Railway and enjoyed an inspiring conversation with the wonderfully welcoming team there. From that discussion emerged a tantalising idea, what if the original tramcar carriages had one day been replicated as bogie carriages for todays preserved railway?
Whilst it is very unlikely that these will ever be built, it's fun to speculate!

Drawing from our original Tyneside Models Corris tramcar design, we’ve whipped up these striking “what‑if” interpretations in two evocative styles, a preservation-era version complete with modern Corris buffers, and a pre‑preservation variant, envisioned as though it had been constructed before the railway's first saloon carriage.

To expand your creative freedom even further, we’ve incorporated our clerestory roof design, (originally developed for the talented modeller Ted Thompson) giving you more options to shape the Falcon-inspired carriages to suit your persional vision!

To order, hit the button below or in our bio and head over to our online store!

A quick summer update from us!

The recent heatwaves have caused their fair share of chaos behind the scenes, but we’re getting back up to speed. We’re aiming to have the majority of outstanding orders shipped by 7th August, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we’ve been working through the backlog.

We’ve also got two new products arriving this week! A little different from our usual releases and available only as a limited batch run. Something fresh for your layouts and perfect for modellers building on a budget!

And if you’re visiting the Talyllyn Railway this month, keep an eye on the shop shelves! Restocks are on the way, along with a few exclusive items!

Wishing you all a fantastic summer, stay cool and keep modelling!

We built a layout (within a week!) for the Shrewsbury Festival of Model Railways, representing 1950’s Abergynolwyn on the Talyllyn Railway!

A few months back, Martyn offered us the opportunity to build a layout representing this stunning location specifically for the exhibition. Having been a while since we sold Tywyn Wharf & Pendre to the Talyllyn Young Members Group, we missed having a layout to run and pose our models on, so this was a great opportunity to build something new after our 10 year hiatus from the modelling scene.

Due to our engineering work through Immersion Engineering, the hundreds of orders coming in for kits and family health issues we weren’t sure if we’d be able to pull it off in time! But through many sleepless nights of hard graft, we did! (Ish) There is still plenty to do scenic wise, the join between the fiddle yard + scenic section needs to be improved, and we need to assemble more of our own kits for the layout itself! But we had a fantastic time thanks to our wonderful hosts and an amazing audience!

A huge shout out to everyone who helped us set up (there are far too many of you to name!), and a huge thanks to Amethyst, Chris and Calum for helping us run the layout during the show, nursing Abergynolwyn and our old stock through various teething issues!

Overall, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the show and to meet so many wonderful people! We cannot wait to do it all again in the future!

All the best!
Adam

✨ 10% OFF until this Saturday - New Release Alert! ✨

We’re excited to unveil our latest addition to the range: the W.G. Bagnall Industrial Tramway locomotive kits.

Inspired by the versatile industrial locomotives supplied by Bagnall in multiple gauges and configurations, (much like Dennis from the Snailbeach Railway), this new kit takes particular influence from Stafford, the engine that very nearly became Midlander on the Talyllyn Railway! Our model offers a refined, compact interpretation for quick, and easy chassis options to get your model on the move!

0‑4‑2 version designed for the Bachmann Percy chassis

Tram‑skirted version compatible with the KATO 11‑109 chassis

During our research, we uncovered compelling evidence that this style of locomotive was the original inspiration behind the classic GEM Varikit. If you’ve been searching for a modern, high‑quality successor to those iconic kits, this release is the perfect fit.

Take advantage of 10% off until Saturday and add a piece of industrial railway heritage to your collection.

We’re officially back up to full steam. 💨💨

Firstly, thank you all for your patience during what has been an unexpectedly challenging few months. As many of you know, Miniature Modellers Hub is primarily a one‑person operation run alongside my engineering work in robotics and special effects. At the end of December, my partner faced a life‑threatening medical emergency and began chemotherapy in February. Naturally, much of my time shifted toward her care, which led to delays in kit processing and a backlog of orders.

I’m pleased to share that things have now stabilised, and thanks to the wonderful support of the Talyllyn Railway, who have recently begun stocking our Talyllyn‑related kits (with more to follow very soon), we’ve been able to dedicate focused time to clearing outstanding orders. We are now very nearly caught up. Your understanding and continued support throughout this period has meant the world.

With orders almost back on track, we can finally turn our attention to something far more exciting... new releases! Over the coming days, we’ll be announcing a series of fresh kits, including long‑awaited designs and the return of several favourites from our partner ranges.

To start, we’re proud to unveil our new building range. These detailed structures were originally developed for bespoke commissions, using 3D scanning and precision surface modelling to create unique, characterful freelance buildings. Perfect for narrow‑gauge layouts seeking that extra touch of authenticity.

Stay tuned. The next few days are going to be quite special!

This kit started out as a commissioned Peckett for the N scale Bachmann Percy chassis. 'Burton' is named after the small hamlet in the civil parish of Bamburgh. It features distinctive characteristics from 2 foot 6 inch gauge and 3 foot gauge short coupled narrow gauge Pecketts seen across the Midlands and North of England between the 1890's and 1950's. This Tyneside Models body kit consists of 3 parts with little assembly needed before painting and being mounted onto an unmodified Bachmann 'Percy' chassis. For dimensions, please see the product page on our website.

Happy Modelling!
