We know that children at Red Academy have the best time at our workshop days — and we’re not just saying that!

So, what does a workshop day look like?

Children arrive at 8:30am and jump straight into fun warm-up games, vocal exercises, and dance activities to get everyone energised and ready for the day ahead.

Throughout the week, they’ll learn songs and scripts from the musical, developing their performance skills as they work towards a special show on the final day.

To make the experience even more magical, the children will help create props and set pieces, and perform in costume, giving them the excitement of being part of a real production for family and friends.

Most importantly, our workshops create lasting memories, build confidence, encourage teamwork, and give children the chance to shine in a fun, supportive environment.

These workshops are always a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to do it all again this summer! ☀️🎭✨

Is it too early to mention the Summer Holidays? ☀️
Of course not! 😅

If you're anything like the mums on the Red Academy team, as soon as one school holiday ends, we're already planning for the next one!

That's why we're so excited to announce our FIVE-DAY Matilda Summer Workshop! 🎭🎶💃

Date: Monday 27th to Friday 31st July
Venue: Barns Green Village Hall
Times: 8.30 to 3.15pm

Following the incredible success of our previous workshops (which all sold out!), we've extended this years’ experience from 3 days to a full 5 days of fun, creativity and confidence-building.

During the week, children will:
✨ Acting, singing and dancing
✨ Learn lines and song lyrics
✨ Enjoy arts & crafts activities creating props for the show
✨ Build confidence and teamwork skills
✨ Perform a fantastic show for family and friends on the final day.

Our Summer Workshops are a great way to make new friends and open to all children, not just Red Academy students, so everyone is welcome to join the fun!

We also understand that Summer can be an expensive time for families, so we've introduced a split payment option, allowing you to pay in two instalments.

🎭 Let the Summer adventures begin! ☀️

5 Days of fun Dance and Musical Theatre classes over the Summer Holidays. The children will learn songs and scripts from 'Matilda". They will create their own sets, props and costumes as part of a short performance for families on the last day.
