Support your local theatre and come and see our hilarious comedy, A Bunch of Amateurs!

When the Stratford Players are forced with the realisation that they may need to shut down their beloved amateur theatre (a stage and some lights in a barn), they have a last minute idea to fundraise the money they need!

Queue in American superstar actor, Jefferson Steel. Known for his explosive action movies and having his shirt off, he believes he’s coming to play King Lear at the home of the Bard himself. Unfortunately, for him, he’s in for a big surprise.

🎭 The judges are ready. The companies are ready to perform. Now all we need is you.

The One Act Drama Festival returns to Blackfriars next weekend for three evenings celebrating local theatre, creativity and performance.

Expect comedy, drama, brilliant performances, plenty of fun and a wonderfully informal atmosphere as theatre companies from across the region take to the stage.

🍷 The bars will be open
🎭 The competition is on
👏 The banter backstage and in the audience will be flowing

Please note that all evening performances will now begin at 7.00pm to help ensure earlier finishing times.

On Sunday evening ahead of the awards presentation, the R***e Bar will also be open for everyone to come together, mingle and celebrate the weekend’s performances.

Head Over Heels. Save The Dates!

We’d like to invite you to our upcoming play reading and auditions for “Head Over Heels” which will be HTC’s November production. The reading will give us a chance to refresh people’s memory as well as an opportunity for those who aren’t familiar with it, to learn about this great play. These are open events to which everyone is very welcome.
Gail Young’s hilarious comedy-drama follows Jill and Andy as they navigate their way through the minefield of emotions produced by thirty-odd years of so-called wedded bliss ending in divorce. Not a pretty sight, but funny in oh so many ways...
Depressing topic for a play? Well, it could be, but definitely not in this case! This is a powerful play with plenty of comic punch and an uplifting soundtrack to accompany the drama onstage.

Play reading Wednesday 10th June 7:30pm
Auditions Monday 29th June & Wednesday 1st July 7:30pm
