Learn the techniques of kiln formed glass with a professional artist and create your own individual fused glass designs. Health and Wellbeing has always been at the heart of what I offer, and now it’s something I’m taking time to offer myself. I’ll be taking a break from running workshops for some time to rest, recharge and reflect.

This isn’t a goodbye, just a gentle break while I organise my workshop and get back into making. Thank you all for your support and I’ll see you all soon x

I’m so sorry for not posting on my page in what is the busiest time of the year at The Glass Room. Unfortunately I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer (primary) after 15 years clear. I will still be creating in my workshop and keeping you updated on my socials. I look forward to resuming workshops in the new year once my treatment has finished. Thank you for your continued support x

As AI takes on more and more of the 9-5, a LinkedIn study showed creativity is the one skill businesses need most.

Psst! Recruiters! Have you tried art students?

Yes, art teaches ‘creativity’, but it’s also the best way to learn many ‘soft skills’ employers struggle to find. Thinking on your feet, working as a team and showing empathy can’t be programmed into a machine. So it’s worrying that the number of students studying art, design and technology at GCSE has decreased by 65% since 2010.

We’re running out of creative thinkers just when our workplaces need them most.

🎨

The case for art in our classrooms is clear. Join the cause, share the message, help us bring art back to where it’s needed most.

Art is a serious subject.

Quick turnaround for this family design and make session. Straight in the kiln and picked up the following day to take back to Spain. Luckily they managed to fill the kiln 😊
