Daniel Salvatore is an magnificent player and maker of Handpans. The Handpan is part drum, part bell, part prayer, and the music he makes with them is ancient, and resonant and intimate.
Dan is going to sharing his love of these stunning and incredible sounding instruments at Goren, where you will have to have the chance to get your own authentic hands-on experience with handpans in one of his brilliant workshops. These workshops are always popular and we are so pleased to have him with us again.

We simply can’t imagine our Festival without an appearance from the force of nature that is Stompin’ Dave. It’s not uncommon for Dave to play from dusk until dawn in The Goren Arms - without a break! This year Dave brings his full bluegrass band, including the equally delightful ‘Hippy Joe’ from Rockgrass legends Hayseed Dixie.
We don’t have the superlatives to describe Dave – but others have tried:
