For the past two weeks, I’ve been working on this grid/pixel piece, created in pencil on A1 paper. I’ve been developing the idea in my sketchbook and building it up into this larger work. I’m interested in how simple marks can create rhythm, structure, and even illusion when repeated across a surface. This approach connects to artists such as Sol LeWitt, who used systems and grids as the basis for conceptual drawings, and Chuck Close, who translated faces into pixelated units. My piece explores similar ideas—where order meets experimentation, and where the grid becomes both a framework and an image.
