Woohoo 🎉 we are officially the 100th tenant at Leigh Spinners Mill . Our new home 🙂 the start of a new journey for us and we couldn’t be more delighted 🤩

✨ A very special part of this year's Summer Open Event... ✨

As Leigh Spinners Mill celebrates welcoming Goofus Theatre as our 100th tenant, we're inviting you to join in the celebrations on Saturday 4th July! 🎉

Goofus Theatre will be bringing a magical day of puppet performances, walkabouts, and interactive fun for all ages throughout the mill. From meeting Bridget and her puppet friends to enjoying performances of "A Magical Key for Little Dee", there's something to spark everyone's imagination.

We're incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with a business that brings so much creativity, joy and community spirit to Leigh Spinners Mill. ❤️

Well, time for a breath and then onwards!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic run in China. Great audiences and lovely theatres in Shanghai and Xi’an. We are back now at our home at Spinners Mill and will be heading out soon for our festivals season. There’s plenty coming up!

Festivals so far include CAFTFEST / BOLTON OCTAGON FAMILY FESTIVAL Octagon Theatre Bolton / LITTLE HOME HOME Mcr / TOPSY Theatre Porto & THRIVE FESTIVAL (HINDLEY) Thrive CIC

A mix of performances are scattered through these festivals- The Magical Key Of Little Dee and All in A Mouse’s Night.

Well we’ve had a wonderful run in Shanghai at the Showay Arts Space For Families! We’re off next to the Kaiyuan Grand Theatre in Xi’an to continue the adventure. Special thanks to our performers and puppet makers and Jane Williams for producing us. To Theatre Porto for support and being our associate friends, Liz Walker for her puppet creations, Angus McCloud for our beautiful soundtrack and finally our audiences from both sides of the world!

Thank you to Arts Council England for supporting our international tour.

Very, very excited to be packed and ready for our adventure playing Showay Arts Space For Families in Shanghai and then onwards to Xi’an to the Kaiyuan Theatre for more shows. We can’t wait to meet our audiences. Special thanks to for being our associate buddies helping develop and play The Tale Of Nobody Nose and getting our work out there. We’ll be back at Theatre Porto this Xmas with Moonsmile but more of that later…

Goofus Theatre have a new home!

We are proud to be joining 100 independent artists and businesses at the brilliant Spinners Mill in Leigh. This Grade II listed former cotton mill has been redeveloped into a community hub and we are proud to be joining this thriving community. We have our office, our green room, our rehearsal room/studio space, we have our HOME!

Experience a non-verbal, small world, puppetry adventure with music and play for early years and their families at A Magical Key for Little Dee.

Little Dee loves to play and loves the town, but lately things have changed. People are not allowed to play as much; all the signs say no, and no one is welcome.

Come with Dee on a fantastical journey full of flying hearts, ships, clouds, keys, locks and strange encounters.

There will also be a meet-and-greet for the audience after the performance.
