During this time the band had a series of top 20 singles, Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick was a UK number 1 & its follow up Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3 peaked at number 3. The albums Do It Yourself and New Boots and Panties!! Both went platinum.

We are so very deeply saddened to hear the shocking news about the passing of Tim Brown. Many of you will have seen him play drums at The Soundry on many occasions with Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash. Most recently he appeared at our venue with them in March this year.
Tim was such a great guy to know and a highly talented musician who has over the years played with many well-respected bands and artists.
Our thoughts are with Tim's family and friends as well as his colleagues in Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash. He will be very greatly missed by us all!

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our bandmate and friend, Tim Brown has passed away.

Tim was a much-loved member of our band and will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing and making music with him.

We ask that everyone please respect the privacy of Tim’s family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
