☀️SUNNY SUNDAY☀️

We headed to Hitchin yesterday to drop off my NEW Hitchin illustration to Creative Hub & Pop Up Markets located right on Market Place 🙌 In my excited haste in seeing the ‘beach’ and deckchairs set up opposite the shop, I forgot to take many photos of the actual shop’s interior but it is looking fantastic! Full of small businesses and artists creating art IRL in their studio spaces…it is really exciting and inspiring to see so much local talent in one room ❤️

I had a little jaunt around the town while Jack was busy in the sandpit and took photos of the landmarks that inspired my illustration such as Market Place, St Mary’s Church and all the beautiful Georgian buildings dotted around. Currently available as prints and key rings, this illustration will be featured on tea towels very soon! 🙌

🌻HELLO HITCHIN🌻

New illustrations depicting the historic market town of Hitchin will be making their way to Creative Hub & Pop Up Markets in the next few days, along with brand spanking new Hitchin key rings! 🎉

I’ve incorporated several of the beautiful Georgian buildings located in picturesque Hitchin, along with St Mary’s Church and bustling Market Place - where Creative Hub & Pop Up Markets is located! I also could not forget the stunning lavender and sunflower fields of Hitchin Lavender farm…we love it there so much, we visited twice just this week! I hope I’ve done Hitchin justice - it really is such a beautiful location ❤️

Available in A5, A4 and A3 sizes, this print will be available at Creative Hub & Pop Up Markets ASAP. Find the shop at 16/17 Market Place, right in the heart of Hitchin ❤️

HELLO GREAT MISSENDEN!

New illustration celebrating the picturesque village of Great Missenden, located in Buckinghamshire, is now stocked in Teenie Craft Collective | Local gifts and crafts ❤️ You can find this lovely shop right on the high street, only a short walk away from the The Roald Dahl Museum 🙌

For those that do not know: Roald Dahl lived in Great Missenden and was known to be very influenced by the local area. When he died in 1990, he was buried at the Church of St Peter and Paul and in fact, many of the landmarks featured in my illustration feature in his books:

⭐️The Petrol Pumps at Red Pump Garage inspired the description of the garage in Danny the Champion of the World

⭐️The timber framed building known as Crown House was Roald Dahl’s inspiration for Sophie’s orphanage in The BFG

⭐️Roald Dahl used to tell stories to his children on days out in Hobbs Hill Wood. These included the tale which later became known as The Minpins

I really enjoyed designing this print and I hope I have done this lovely village justice. Tea towels and key rings depicting this illustration are next on my list! 👀

HELLO HITCHIN!

Myself and Fliss from Mould + Make | Handcrafted Home Decor braved the heat today to set up in our new stockist: Shop Small Studios in Hitchin 🙌

The news is out…Big things are coming to Hitchin...

We’re thrilled to announce that Hitchin is getting its very own Creative Hub!

Shop Small Studios will be launching in the Market Place on Saturday 27th June, just in time for Hitchin Creative Day Hitchin Creative 🤩
Created by Shop Small Pop Up, the Hub will be a vibrant new destination bursting with creativity, collaboration, and community.

Inside you’ll discover a carefully curated retail space showcasing incredible small local creative businesses, alongside eight resident creatives bringing the studio spaces to life. Five of the studios, on the ground floor, will be open for customers to explore and meet the artists!

At the heart of the hub will be a buzzing community table offering an exciting programme of hands-on workshops, gatherings and inspiring activities.

Carry on through the space and discover a gallery area and flexible event space designed to celebrate creativity in all forms.

Shop Small Studios will be an inclusive, welcoming place to visit, shop, create, connect and collaborate. A creative home for all the community.

🎶Oh I do like to be beside the River Thames!🎶

Due to my husband’s unexpectedly long stint in hospital at the start of the year, we haven’t been to Marlow for six long months! 😳

It was brilliant to be back in my fab Marlow stockist Gifts, Lifestyle, Art, Fashion and see lovely Sinéad from Handmade | Fashion | Jewellery | Homewares in the shop, as well as Nina from Nina Modray Art and Jo from .tree who were manning the stall at the Marlow Town Regatta & Festival Family Fun Day 🤩

I brought my NEW wooden key rings with me and the other day, lovely Melanie Collis displayed my NEW London illustrations just in time for the busy tourist season! 🙌

I feel really lucky to be a part of such a supportive team of creatives and I’m feeling much more like myself now I’ve got my creative spark back! ✨

My illustration celebrating Marlow has been super popular so I decided I just had to do a London version 🇬🇧 There are so many elements I could have drawn to depict London so I hope I have covered most bases! Having lived in London for a long time (big up Finsbury Park!), this has been on my to do list for awhile ❤️

My ‘London Is Where The Heart Is’ illustration will be making its debut at the very brilliant Gifts, Lifestyle, Art, Fashion on Marlow high street as well as at the Marlow Regatta THIS weekend 13th and 14th June! 🤩 This print is available in A5, A4 and A3 sizes plus tea towels and key rings are coming soon! 🙌

And as it’s the Marlow Regatta, I have topped up my super popular Marlow prints, tea towels and key rings ❤️

The Little Shop of Lovely Things!

I’m very excited to be now stocked in in beautiful Wheathampstead. My new stockist is most definitely a little shop of very lovely things…full of antiques, curios, homeware and small creative businesses like mine ❤️

I am gradually getting my design mojo back after a difficult few months and starting to feel more like myself again ❤️ I have been working on new artwork and I am really enjoying being creative again…new designs are in progress! 👀

Due to everything going on in my personal life, I haven’t made it over to in Marlow for ages but thanks to my lovely friend and new superstar stockist Fliss from my stock has been magically replenished, including my new card designs and Father’s Day range 🙌

Thank you to the team for being so supportive of our family during this time and also keeping my display looking so lovely! We can’t wait to pop by beautiful Marlow soon (Jack is really missing the playground! 😂)

Me: ‘Jack, can you get on the table and wrap my tea towel samples around yourself so I can take some photos for social media?!’
Jack: ‘sure…if I get an ice cream’

Just a little reminder that I am still here despite my rubbish presence on social media 😜 This year has personally been TOUGH so far but there is now light at the end of this long arse tunnel…my husband is finally out of hospital (three months later 😵‍💫) and doing much better. Meanwhile after a shaky few months, Jack remains on a reduced timetable but is now managing more hours at school. We are still in recovery mode as a family but for myself, I am starting to feel calmer and less in a constant state of high alert (thank god!!) 🙌

I’m even starting to design again! Slowly slowly but new designs are coming as my ideas are finally starting to flow…in fact three new card designs are currently in production 🙌 I also have plans for three new illustrations showcasing popular locations…where oh where could these be about? 👀

Thank you to everyone who has supported my business and us a family during this time (I’m truly rubbish at replying to messages but every message is really appreciated!) ❤️
