Make sure you come along to the Village Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 2.00-5.00! Green Lane will be closed to traffic, and all the stalls that in normal years are in the fete, will be there.

Instead of the Annual Fete, this year we're organising a 'Village Day' on Monday, Bank Holiday August 30th, from 2.00-5.00pm. We're closing Green Lane to traffic and there'll be lots of stalls, music, activities and an arts and crafts fair in the church. free entry for all. make sure you're there - it'll be great fun and a good opportunity to celebrate liberation from the pandemic and all that's good about village life! As usual, any money raised will go to village charities - the Millennium Green, the Memorial Hall, the Over 60's Club, the Baby and Toddler's Group and the Playground.

Tomorrow's the big/small day. So sorry for all the village, for whom the fete is the main event of the year when we all get to meet each other; and for the local charities that benefit from the funds we raise - for several it's their main source of finance for the year, so it is a real problem that it is not taking place. If anyone would like to donate, please do contact me directly - Mark Baines 07860 799426 - St John's Church, the Millennium Green, the Memorial Hall, the Over 60's Club and the Parent-Toddlers Group.

Big call out to all vegetable gardeners: please bring your garden produce – fruit and vegetables – to the marquee on Saturday morning as we will be running a Produce Stall – all takings to the Fete charities!
Though I'm told we already have 6 cauliflowers!...

Why not join in the Dog Show this year? There are lots of prizes and you might even win a trophy for your mantelpiece!
