Rather Large Announcement Part 2

So… now you know we’re heading off—who on earth is going to replace us?

It’s this guy: Scott Simpson. Bassist, writer, dreamer, and all-round top bloke. He’s been part of the Rewind community for years with his brother Tim in the band Even Blue—we even shot a music video for them.

He’s currently undergoing a rigorous Rewind training programme, covering essential skills such as how to take a payment when a band of 5 want to split it 4 ways but one is paying for 2 (half cash, half card if that’s ok?), the drummer is only auditioning so might not be paying… but still needs to hire cymbals—and can he borrow some sticks?

He’ll be learning all this and more on the job, while getting to know all your lovely faces along the way.

Rather Large Announcement !!!

Hey everyone, Gaz here! Just a note to say that after much deliberation, we’ve decided to move on from Rewind.

I know, right???

But don’t fret—this isn’t the end! We have a new owner lined up (Scott—he’s awesome) who is raring to go, and I’ll be putting another post out in the next couple of days to introduce him properly. He’s been frequenting Rewind for years, so you’re all in very safe hands.

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us—not just during our 4 years running Rewind, but across the full 25 years since John Chamberlain started it all with a single room so my band had somewhere to rehearse. What a legend.

It’s been a privilege to be part of something that brings so many people together through music. Seeing it busier than ever now makes this the right time to pass it on.

I’ll still be around for a while helping Scott get settled in, but for now we want to say a massive thank you from all of the Chamberlains. We’re very excited for Rewind’s next chapter.
