EXCITING NEWS!!!

In celebration of the upcoming Windrush day (Monday 22nd January) and the new exhibition ‘Migration, Journeys & New Beginnings’, We Make Wycombe have collaborated with SV2G to bring the Wycombe Steel Orchestra Orchestra to perform outside the We Make Wycombe hub this Saturday at 1pm.
 
The band really are incredible so please come down and watch them play and whilst you’re there, pop into the We Make Wycombe hub and enjoy the exhibition.

They’ll be playing under Little Market House (opposite McDonalds).

This Thursday at We Make Wycombe

The Creative Exchange returns this Thursday, including a Q&A with We'll be exploring their journey of being awarded the We Make Wycombe artist commission, from responding to the artist call out, to curating their exhibition.

This is a FREE event and a great opportunity to meet fellow local artists, learn more about the process of responding to an artist commission whilst enjoying the exhibition.

New Exhibition Alert!

Migration, Journeys and New Beginnings, an exhibition by Hope and Kind Creative at We Make Wycombe opens on Saturday.

This exhibition is the outcome of We Make Wycombe’s first ever artist commission and has been developed through a series of creative workshops with local community groups, including Hairoun and Wycombe Refugee Partnership as well as Sir William Ramsay school. Through these collaborations, the exhibition explores themes of migration, journeys and new beginnings.

From internationally renowned (and local) exhibition exploring his 40 years as a professional artist to being part of the 2026 Chair Festival by , there are so many reasons (and zero excuses) to visit.

Tomorrow…

We welcome you to join us for a FREE Islamic art workshop where you’ll be guided by artist Fehmida Shafi to create your own Eid* card or decorate a tote bag.

Using stencils, templates and other techniques including calligraphy you’ll come away with a fantastic piece of art that you can be kept or shared.

This workshop is for all ages and all religions. This is a drop in session so you can come at any time in between the workshop opening times and we expect it to take about 30mins.

Eid Mubarak (Arabic: عِيد مُبَارَك, romanized: ʿīd mubārak) is an Arabic phrase that means “blessed feast or festival”. The term is used by Muslims all over the world as a greeting to celebrate Eid al-Fitr (which marks the end of Ramadan).

Spotlight Week Announcement

In recognition of Ramadan and in celebration of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, we are excited to bring you Sacred Threads, a free exhibition of Islamic Prayer mats from around the world as well as a selection of Islamic art.

We will explore their history and stories, giving you the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of these very personal objects.

In addition to this we will have two drop-in workshops (for all ages) where you’ll be guided by artist to create your own Eid card or design your own tote bag in an Islamic art style.
