The secret is finally out! 🤫

Quirky Kid H**e from PQA Bristol, is set to appear in the second series of the Disney+ drama Rivals and she’ll be joined on screen by her real‑life little brother Sebastian!

H**e has been part of PQA Bristol since 2023 and this is her first professional screen role. During the casting process, H**e happened to mention her six-year-old brother Sebastian, right as the production was searching for someone to play H**e’s characters on screen sibling. Despite having no previous performing experience, Sebastian was invited to audition. After a joint recall, both siblings were cast! 🎬✨

They filmed between May 2025 and Feb 2026 and had the BEST time. H**e loved the costumes, animals, and super‑friendly crew, while Sebastian says Danny Dyer kept them laughing and showed them the “secret world” behind the camera.

Rivals is an eight‑part drama full of big characters, bold storylines and sharp wit, set in the fictional English county of Rutshire.

H**e and brother Seb did fantastically on set for this amazing series and we could not be prouder of these two rising stars. 🌟💛

⭐ Birmingham is bursting with talent, and our young performers are already making their mark.

Clients from PQA Stratford Upon Avon, PQA Solihull, PQA Warwick, and PQA Coventry stepped into the spotlight with appearances in ITV’s Joan alongside Sophie Turner making their steps into high-profile TV drama.

Daya from PQA Rugby and Marcie from PQA Lichfield delivered standout performances in BMET’s Hello Future campaign, which was showcased to an audience of 12,000 at Hits Radio Live.

We also were super proud of six talented Quirky Kidz from PQA Corby who gained first-hand industry experience, recording ADR at Warner Bros. Studios for Netflix’s Toxic Town and exploring the world of professional post-production.

And we're not finished there, our fantastic Poppet Quirky Kidz also featured in the Football Association’s Play Phase commercial, a campaign focused on giving children aged 4–6 the best possible start in their development and their first steps into football.

This is just a glimpse of what’s happening in the region… Birmingham, we can’t wait to see what’s next!

⭐ Bristol… you’re the next stop on our Casting Day Tour!

Bristol is bursting with creativity and packed with opportunities across film, TV, and theatre... so it’s no surprise our clients are already making waves.

First up, Miles from PQA Bath shone on stage at the Bristol Old Vic, performing as Young Brian in Starter for Ten alongside Mel Giedroyc. A huge achievement in a production full of heart, humour, and coming‑of‑age charm, and Miles absolutely smashed it.

In our most recent news, eight‑year‑old H**e Clear from PQA Bristol is joining the second series of a well-known drama, with her six‑year‑old brother Sebastian which we can’t reveal just yet! An incredible opportunity for both of them!

This is only a small handful of the incredible projects we’ve secured in this region.

🎭 Quirky Kidz is on the move… Newcastle, we’re coming for you!

This week we’re heading to a city that has already seen some incredible Quirky Kidz success stories come to life. Newcastle has been the starting point for so many of our young performers: Michael from PQA Dartford and Joseph from PQA TEES Valley both landed fantastic roles in the recent series of The Dumping Ground, which you can catch now on BBC iPlayer, a perfect reminder that real PQA students are out there shining on screen.

And that’s not all… Isabella from PQA Durham starred in a Santander commercial, filming alongside iconic TV hosts Ant and Dec.

Plus, Bo Reef from PQA Newcastle brings Young Fergus to life in Outlander Season 8, another brilliant example of the amazing opportunities that come through Quirky Kidz.

Newcastle, get ready… we can’t wait to see more young talent from your area making their mark!

Ahh… the Oscars. That glorious annual celebration of gowns so shiny you need sunglasses, and that one moment every year when everyone suddenly becomes a professional film critic!

This year’s 98th Academy Awards did not disappoint, especially for us! The phenomenal film Frankenstein stormed the night with three Oscar wins:

✨ Best Costume Design
✨ Best Make-Up & Hair Styling
✨ Best Production Design

And here’s the part that makes us beam with pride… this incredible reimagining, directed by the legendary Guillermo del Toro, featured four supporting artists from PQA Glasgow.

A huge, glitter‑covered congratulations to our brilliant, Quirky Kidz clients: Niamh K, Nathan D, Callum C and Augustus S, who were involved in filming back in 2024!

This version of Frankenstein breathes new life into Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic, a haunting tale of a genius scientist, the creature he brings to life, and the tragic downfall that follows. Fans are calling it a “grotesque spectacular” (and honestly, they’re not wrong).

Starring some of the biggest names in the industry: Oscar Isaac (from Dune, Star Wars), Jacob Elordi, Christoph Waltz, Charles Dance and more... the film is available to watch on Netflix.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share Blake Williams, from PQA Wickford has landed an incredible role in the BBC’s brand‑new adaptation of Lord of the Flies!

Blake was a client in 2024, and his hard work took him all the way to Malaysia, where he filmed on location between July and December 2024... an extraordinary opportunity for any young performer!

Blake shared: "My agent at Quirky Kidz put me forward, and I went through nearly a year of auditions and callbacks for different parts, so getting the call to say I’d been cast out of 7,000 boys felt incredible.”

The series, which follows a group of schoolboys stranded on a deserted island, premiered last month on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Make sure to tune in and spot Blake shining on screen!

We are incredibly proud to announce that six of our clients at Quirky Kidz are supporting artists in this outstanding remake of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, Hamlet, starring Riz Ahmed.

Described as gritty and visually striking. Set within present-day London’s vibrant South Asian community, this gritty remake offers a fresh and powerful perspective on Shakespeare unlike anything we’ve seen before.

This amazing opportunity comes from our affiliation to the brilliant Sally King Agency who have been providing the Film/TV industry with background and supporting artistes for over 20 years.

Alongside of the 6 lucky to be on set for this, we also had clients tape for various roles in this project, so a huge shout out to them also!

The film will be in cinemas this week from 6 February, we couldn’t be more excited to see our talented young performers shine in such an extraordinary and culturally rich production. 🎬✨

Huge congratulations to our brilliant Quirkies, Daya PQA Rugby and Marcie PQA Lichfield who were selected to feature in BMET’s Hello Future campaign! 🎉

In the video, Daya steps into the role of a nurse while Marcie plays a judge and their performances were showcased to an audience of more than 12,000 people, in the main arena during Hits Radio Live at the BP Pulse Live on Friday 21st November!

What an incredible achievement and an unforgettable opportunity. We’re so proud to see both of them representing Quirky Kidz and Pauline Quirke Academy with such confidence and talent! 🌟
